Hi all,
Does anyone have the cargo depth in inches for the 2024 4xe Sport or Willys with the back seat folded down? Is there any chance that a longer item at an angle (above where the bottom of the back seat folds forward, on the passenger side) would allow a few more inches?

I'm possibly trading in my corroding 2020 JLUR for a 2024 4xe tomorrow but I have an event on Saturday for which I need to fit a couple 72" long things in the back (which barely fit snug against the passenger seat pushed forward in my Rubi). Thanks!

Dimension wise you don't change much between the two other than losing the ability to lay the seats down flat with the trunk floor. For cargo volume, the 4xe has 67.4 cubic feet of storage (due to the space taken up on the floor for the battery) vs a regular Wrangler that has 72.4 cubic feet of storage. If you need to, find out if you can rent one on Turo and see if it will fit.

Just to clarify, the seats lay down flat, they just step up in comparison to the rear floor.

That's what I was trying to say with "losing the ability to lay the seats down flat with the trunk floor ". Sorry for any confusion. Maybe "trunk area floor" would have been better?

No worries, I understood, just thought someone that hadn't seen it may think you meant the seats don't fold flat.

OP, one more thing I can't answer. There may be a slight difference in the 24s with the power seats with how far forward the front seats move and lean.

The rear seat's bottom cushion tilts forward against the back of the front seats. You basically end up with two steps from the cargo area to the front seats.

If the items you want to carry are relatively small and long, like 2x6 planks, you'll have no problem fitting them.

This image shows the front seat back slid forward & tilted forward as far as it will go. I measured about 72.5" a long a line from the tailgate table, across my platform, over the rear seat bottom cushion, to the front passenger seat back.

Thanks so much! So it does look like the entirety of the distance at least above the folded seats is the same depth as the other JLUs. That gives me some hope!
