the AAL is supposed to be the same depth as the OE carrier. and about 25 pounds if I remember correctly on what I heard. I really liked the AAL since the compressor was outside, BUT again it's not for sale yet...
IF you are correct, than this is a perfect solution. But from the angle of the picture it seems pushed back few inches, but maybe not:

I don't like the Kraken because of all the in-your-face branding. But some might like it - it's all a personal opinion.

I really like the idea of the Kraken, but I agree the over-branding looks tacky. I would prefer a simpler, cleaner look. I also worry about how far back it places the compressor. I often have rear seat passenger with long legs, and it looks like it would really impede foot room. Worse, there's no protection plate for the compressor, so those air filter are going to get kicked.

Cool to have options, but this particular one seems to put a ton of leverage on the gate, especially offroad with a spare 35" and larger.

I had a link break on my JK's ARB rear bumper/tire carrier combo which was a lot more solid than this.

BTW, the Mopar 20A compressor seats in the rear door itself. It's also a single, not twin cylinder for that reason.
Are you sure the 20A compressor sits inside the door? I don't see how there would be enough room. I thought the compressor sat outside, similar to the AAL design, but the wiring and air outlet was plumbed into the inside of the tailgate.

agree, but I'm sure it's gonna be $$$. Not knocking it cause it's alot of R&D and materials. Granted this is probably the way I will end up going. LOL
Also, might want to shoot this guy an email. I think it only works with a single though. I was thinking of going this route. https://www.jrjdesignsus.com/

I ended up ordering the Kraken, since it's now out. We shall see, and for the compressor getting kicked, I'm pretty sure I can whip up something as a guard if needed.

I still prefer to have the ARB inside the Jeep. I loved my ARB under the passenger seat in my 2015 JK. I like the new Kracken kit for the 2024 with power seats. The guy on the install video for Kraken makes it look so easy...LOL...yeah right!

I SUCK at installing electrical things like this. I wish we had a nice Jeep place that just sold and installed these where I live. A shop could knock this out in an hour or 2 while I wait.

I want this ARB Kraken kit and the Rock Slide Engineering steps installed.

I agree, granted I'm pretty decent with doing mods. I LOVE MY RSE side steps (and it helps keep it cleaner). and I can't wait to get my ARB all mounted.... then just a winch and I'm GTG for a while.
