Estimated build date slipped 4 more days. Originally 09/30, then 10/08, 10/18, now 10/22.

Ordered 06/30

JLURD
I ordered 7/4 and had a similar situation with estimated ship (ahem, build) date. Started at 9/30 then pushed to several Oct dates. Now, Koons tells me I have none at all but I’m still D1. This status stuff is bogus. They could call me the King of Siam, but if they’re still not building my Jeep, I still have no Jeep.

Ok, I'm about to lose my mind and I'm stick of the dealership BS answers "we don't control it" followed by I can call Stellantis. Six more jeeps arrived at the dealership with stock numbers and build dates AFTER mine, by over a week or more. WTF? Now they say some go to Baltimore and some direct truck, etc. I find it hard to believe that story.

Day 21 of the wait since it was built. I haven't heard of one person waiting more than 10 days after build date in the past few months.
Unfortunately, the one thing we've been able to be pretty sure about is that when (order, build, ship) has little to no relationship to when your Jeep will actually arrive at your dealership.... Though I can say with transportation issues being what they are, I would be inclined to believe that they use multiple methods (truck and train) to ship. It may well be in Baltimore at the moment.

Yeah, I am used to it.

Ordered 4 vehicles last year, the longest took 5 months, the quickest was 6 weeks, no rhyme or reason to be able to determine what causes the delays.

I would assume there would be a note once it's released from the yard to say a port like Baltimore and the dealership would be able to see that.

In your earlier post you mentioned 21 days since your Jeep was built. Does the tracker show that your Jeep has shipped?

Tacker shows it as not shipped but the entry in the dealership shows exiting the yard on the 23rd.

So I talked to Jeep Chat - zero help but someone will call in a day.

Then I called the dealership and talked to them, no change but will check the lot they use to receive. The problem I have is they told me yesterday nothing came in despite me saying six other jeeps arrived and in fact, they are now showing with pictures on the website. Now they say they are there but it's the difference between someone actually knowing by looking or just looking up a computer screen. I get it but at what point does a dealer think something is wrong? Those six jeeps were built after mine...one was built five days ago. So, very frustrating.

Well now you can say you've heard of one. Ours has been sitting in a rail car here in town for almost 2 weeks waiting to be unloaded, then ride a truck about 5 miles to the dealership.

The tracker just pushed out the delivery ETA from the last week of Oct to the first week of Nov.

Great, we're a wolfpack now - first there was one, now there is two :)

Posted this in the regular 2023 Check-in thread, but realize it's probably more appropriate here:

Here is some depressing news for us 2 dr orders. Of the 300 4XE orders being tracked on Crypto, only 46 of them (or about 15%) have neither Build Sheets nor Stickers. On the other hand, of the 168 2 dr orders tracked, 82 of them (or about 49%) have neither. I think that tells us all we need to know about how the factory is prioritizing builds.

Yeah… I figured as much. I saw another post the other day from someone asking “can I order my 4XE now, and know it’ll be made by the end of the year” and honestly, that’s just kinda sh*tty for those of us who have been waiting a few months. Like yeah, sure, tax credits will change — so... Maybe plan a head a bit more next time? There are financial changes for those whose builds are waiting who ordered a few months ago too - they might end up paying higher rates and overall more for their vehicle too if they’re financing. It just feels kind of entitled to see people encouraging that while a lot have been waiting for a while.

In the end, it doesn’t financially impact my order (unless prices rise since I’m just planning to pay cash) — but it’s still not a great feeling to know that those who are coming in now are still getting prioritized first.

I feel you cuz I'm on the same boat, but there is another aspect to it. The more 4xes Jeep can deliver to showrooms by end of year, the more they will sell because of the incentive. If they stop prioritizing the builds, people will stop ordering them at as high a clip and dealers won't have the selling point for them. The rest of us probably will order anyway, even though it sucks to wait and definitively has real consequences to us.

And just to piss in everyone's Wheaties... I saw a teaser on the news this morning about a new potential for a railway strike. It seems the union has rejected the deal previously brokered by the government. November 19th is the deadline for putting something new on the table...

The thing that makes me pretty irritated about the 4xe is that by current standards, it's a pretty shitty hybrid range wise. It's almost entirely useless as an EV unless you're a city driver, and a wrangler isn't meant to be a city vehicle... I could rant on a lot about how silly I think the JL 4xe is.....

I guess that's the plus side of knowing I won't get my order this year, the various strikes are unlikely to affect me and go on so long.

We considered a 4xe but our other hybrid has a 60 mile range and such a low range just didn’t make sense considering the higher price tag.
