So per the Fix Finder at AutoZone it is CEL codes P04EE and P04EC both related to a small and large leak of the EVAP system. I'm assuming this is a good thing and it's the fuel cap causing issues.
Sounds exactly like a gas cap issue.

Since the EVAP monitor is an emissions item, there’s a specific cycle required to trigger the readiness and clear the code.

It may take a few drive cycles; you may wish to prioritize ICE operation to clear it faster. It won’t hurt anything except feelings if you don’t. :)

Thanks! We undid the gas cap and put it back on so I guess we will see if it clears. I am planning on bringing it to an AutoZone tonight for them to read the code and see what it is. My wife is the very sad one as it is her car and she has only had it 3 days and this happened. What do you mean by transitory light?
I feel your wife's pain! Three days of new ownership here and then the Jeep has been in the shop for a week. Check engine light and limp mode. Dealer has no answers as to what is wrong with it.

Hi - we just purchased a 2023 Sahara 4xe on Friday that we received with 112 miles on it. After putting almost 100 miles on it this weekend we charged it for the first time last night using the provided Jeep level 1 charger. This morning when it was started the check engine light came on. It was not flashing and there was no message in the cluster display. The charger and charging lights were also normal and it seemed to charge to 99% overnight. Any idea what this could be? We have not put fuel in it yet but the dealer did before delivery on Friday. Thanks
I am a former owner of a 4xe it was. 21. It had evap issues. The dealer would order parts install them. Light back on in 5-6 miles. Went back to where I bought back to the dealer I got it from. They kept it 3weeks changing out parts. I was convinced unless they changed out all of it they may never find it. The service manager said they don’t have help from Jeep to help them. So they did the right thing traded me out of it. Bought a new 2023 non hybrid totally diiffernt experience great vehicle. If you buy a used 4xe most of them our very low miles traded in became of issues. Great concept but it’s not ready yet. I hope yours is ez fix but may be a while
