I’m guessing in normal times it was the ship date, they build it in one day and then ship it out of the factory by truck the same day- of course it still probably went to a yard where it took a few days to get on another truck or a train.
now we aren’t in normal times and there aren’t enough truckers, or workers, and trains may or may not go on strike, etc and things get backed up so now there is a delay between production and ship.
FWIW my “ship date” was 12/5. I actually went in to production on 12/1. If I didn’t go to JB I may have actually shipped on 12/5, but of course I’m still “in production” 3 weeks later.

Same dates here only I just got to KZ. But ship date was just after actual build.
just waiting to go to KZM.. I can wait. It should be here in Jan. However my est delivery date is the day I leave town for a week ?

When people get their window stickers, are they a lot… lot.. higher than the ordered invoice price?
I know my dealer has price protection… but is there a limit? With the jump in pricing, I am pretty shocked at what the MSRP on my sticker shows….

I saw someone posted that the ship date the dealer gives you after you get scheduled is actually the production date.
Is there a chance it might actually be the ship date? I know he seemed pretty confident when he called that it would ship out Jan 4th but everything is still so unknown

also, does anyone know where I can get good halo RGB/multicolor headlights that’s are at least 6k lumen ?

Until it is built, they do not know when it is going to ship, so… ask yourself this… how can your dealer be confident of the ship date of a Jeep that is not yet built? That “ship” date is 2 weeks away and your Jeep hasn’t entered E status yet.

Also, please don’t be one of the JeEp LyFe morons that gets RGB headlights, even if it’s only on the halos. There are no legitimately DOT-certified headlamps that are RGB, because any forward facing light that is not white or amber in color is illegal, period. People that want to sell headlights have gotten pretty good at stamping “DOT” on products that violate the law, though.

When I retire, I’m going to become a traffic cop so I can pull over all the idiots and morons with purple / green / blue/ red headlights.

Check with Griffinhez... his dealer was a bag of dicks... He ended up having to pay the mark-up in order to get the Jeep he ordered.
