This morning the trackers show same thing: 133 days in “C.” I’ll put the items ordered, and if anyone has insight or theories on why I’m stuck here, leave a note. ??

There is person over on WranglerForum that has also been waiting forever (longer than you, even) and the two things you guys have in common (and that I did not have) are the Mopar Satin Black Grille, and the Mopar Doors Off Mirror Kit.

I have been told by my dealer and other Jeep insiders that until they have all the parts available for your build, it will not be scheduled. Whether this applies to accessories like the doors off mirror kit, I am not sure.

I know at one time they would build the Jeep even if they didn't have an accessory that was installed by the body vendor, and then it would sit at the body vendor until the part was available to install, but it is entirely possible that they have changed their process (maybe the body vendor is backed up?). It is plausible that if there is some unforeseen hangup somewhere down the line that they may have changed the process such that a build does not start until all parts are available. Just theorizing / speculating / strategerizing here...

I wonder if they are having trouble with getting the doors off mirror kit? Maybe there is a problem with getting the satin grilles?

Here's his order...

Its a 392.
That's your biggest hang up
So, why is my 392, that I ordered almost a month after his, currently in production?

Also, I hear SOT and XR package is also a delaying factor.
So, why is my 392 order with the XR package, that I ordered almost a month after his, currently in production?

Isn't the 392 equipped with the safety groups? That's another thing that's holding it up.
The safety groups were temporarily restricted from ordering, and now they are available to order again.

There is something more at play here, and it's likely some other option AND/OR dealer allocation.

Does anyone know what happens if you are gone on vacation and your 392 shows up at the dealer? Are they allowed to test drive or demo your vehicle?
My dealer would absolutely not allow that with a sold order, and any decent dealer would not allow that with a sold order.

Several of the dealers in my area won't even allow a customer to sit in a sold vehicle / sold order without calling the owner / buyer to ask permission.

If you have such a concern, I would be having a very direct conversation with the dealer.

I know that mine will get driven because AEV will need to move it around and do a test drive after the suspension installation / alignment, but that's part of the process.

The wife just got a text that her jeep is on the move. However, the internet isn't updated yet. I feel very fortunate that our build time has been reasonable. Might be less than 2 months from order to arrival.

So, that removes the doors off mirror kit theory from the table.

I'm beginning to come back around to dealer allocations...

Before I ordered my 392XR (from my buddy that is the GM of Glendale DCJ in California), I gave my local dealer that I bought my 2021 Rubicon from an opportunity. They wanted $5K over MSRP AND they aren't an AEV dealer which would have made the process of getting it to AEV more complicated, so I did not order with them... HOWEVER, during that conversation, the salesman told me that there were state-level allocations on the 392, and that all dealers in the state of Colorado were only allowed to order 5 per year. I don't know if he meant 5 per dealer per year, or 5 total across all dealers for the entire state per year.

When I heard this I thought it was either misinformation or absolutely insane on the off-chance it was true.

I just sent the question over to someone fairly high up in the Wrangler product line at Jeep to see if we can get an answer...

has yours been built?
Mine is still showing E status on JeepTracker and "In Production" on the Pizza Tracker. I refreshed Crypto just a minute ago and it has found my build sheet.

This is my status with pretty much the same order as yours. I may have a few more options than you?

Basically same options. I just have the cold weather and alpine sound system.
Crazy that you got scheduled. I was hoping to have mine scheduled in the same amount of time yours did. Keep me updated tho! Nice jeep ?

Have anyone traded in a car not in your name ( a friend's or family members not stolen ? ) and got the tax saving on trade in? My friend has done this before successfully and couple of dealers I talked to was ok doing this but my current dealer says he don't think I will get the tax saving as other car is not in my name.. Wondering if anyone has any information on this.

I do not think the state DMV / Department of Revenue that manages tax collection and registration on vehicle purchases looks at anything more than the taxable total, at least not in Colorado.

That being said, it would be very easy for a friend or family member to transfer the title over to you before the trade (unless the vehicle is not owned).

Thank you for that information. It's not owned.. that's the issue.
