I have all of those options except the satin black grill. I've been at C for 179 days. Not sure the options are the entire reason as I have seen similar builds on this thread that have been delivered already that were ordered after mine. I'm leaning toward dealer allocation. When I originally placed the order, I was told 6 to 9 months for delivery.
It seems like the 392's have gotten whatever components they've been waiting on, many of us have gotten movement as of late. I only wanted three options (XR, tow and headliner) and finally got email this morning, in production and est. delivery 1/24 but that's a crap shoot.

Does anyone know what happens if you are gone on vacation and your 392 shows up at the dealer? Are they allowed to test drive or demo your vehicle?
They have the option to resale it immediately if you don't respond to the first pickup call :)

Just kidding. Just tell the dealership/salesperson NOT to demo it. They are going to test drive for PDI but it should not be used as a sales vehicle.

Thank you much! One more quick question - given that I got the order in and VON today, how many days before it will show in the tracker?
Few days.. once you get the VIN it should show up on tracker as confirmed (C) but real status would be D -
Check this link- https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...er-build-tracking-and-delivery-process.54344/

Dealer will always have the latest information..

Also make sure you make all changes before you get VIN. Once that happens, it's almost impossible to make any changes. Removing Mopar items (if any) would make it faster and those can be easily ordered online..

Every number on a VIN corresponds to its build information. dates, location, options, packages are all reflected by numbers in the VIN.
If you change options after a VIN is generated, that VIN number no longer corresponds to that vehicle information, so in sense you will be beginning a new build.
I'd just go with it once I had the VIN.

Finally hit the little over a month since order confirmed. I knew the wait would be tough… but I purposely didn’t max out my sport S so I would hopefully get it sooner. Anyone have any good news on orders for sport s? Auto trans 2.0, early clear coat.
It stinks because with holidays coming up, it’s going to get pushed back even more :(. First time ordering a car, let alone a jeep. I just want to see progress of some sort
Good luck to you. I ordered a 4 door Reign Sport S back on 9/3. 3.6 manual, black hardtop. I thought mine would be fast also since I didn't order any packages either except Alpine sound system. No tech packages or safety or anything else. Mine was in C for 65 days and then finally moved to D1 on 11/10. No movement since then still waiting.

So I have a question, how soon after you jeep is built can you see the window sticker? Mine isn’t built yet, well it’s in production right now and I got the build sheet but no window sticker yet.

Usually the day after it’s built it should show up

I hope there’s progress for you soon my friend… and hopefully there’s some progress with mine. I have called every few days because I see nearly the same builds as mine in early getting scheduled and I’m trying to figure out the hold up on mine. They told me today that it should be schedule by next week. If not by 12/13 call them back and they will escalate it. I’ve called so many times due to the fact I’ve seen how many days people have sat in order confirmed which is so messed up. I get a few months. But for them not even to schedule it??? That’s crazy. I’ve been on it since day one. I don’t use the tracker as much anymore because I figure it’s going to the stay the same. I’m gonna keep an eye out for another sport S if I’m in order confirmed for another 2 weeks.
Girl. You need to chillax.

Calling your dealer 253489507823957 times is only going to annoy the crap out of them, and even if they say they are going to escalate it by a certain date, that is - in all likelihood - them just blowing smoke to get you to leave them alone and make you feel like you've accomplished something. They have ZERO control over the production sequencing. None.

I have several friends that have gotten their 392s expedited through production and shipping. One of them works for Jeep and is very high up the chain in the Wrangler product line. The others are influential industry insiders that have the real, personal friendships with the people high up inside of Jeep that can call in favors and, when they do, they do it for their own orders, not a customer's, and not a friend's.

The reality is, if you get frustrated and walk away from your order, someone else WILL buy it, and the dealer AND Jeep know that.

The only situations where a dealer can truly escalate are like what RAMSTEEL went through where his Jeep was built (in KZ status) and sitting around for almost two months. Once a Jeep is built (in KZ), it is released by the plant and invoiced to the dealer, and thus is "their" inventory. There are financial factors at play between Jeep and the dealer at that point, and they can most certainly escalate when their own inventory is sitting around not being shipped to them.

Think about how you would feel if a client or customer was calling you every other day asking on the status of a process that you had no control over whatsoever and no real ability to influence or escalate.

The end result your looking for is the exact vehicle you want. If your going to spend the money, don't settle for something less. Just accept that it is most likely going to be a few months. If you give up, in a couple of months you will be telling yourself you should have waited.
I consider myself lucky that it has only been 2 1/2 months and mine is being built. My dealer told me up front 4 months to delivery, 392's 6 months.
We are down a vehicle in the family and it's a bit of a hassle. But for me there is no other vehicle, I am spending the money to get exactly what I want.

LOL what he said. It’s only been a month! Chill my friend, these things take time and there are plenty here who are waiting a lot longer. Now, that doesn’t mean they will build first - it’s all a bit random seeming, but there truly isn’t going to be much the dealer can do

Im not calling my dealer everyday first of all….

Second of all…. My DEALER is the one that quoted me end of December/ first week of January.
2nd of all… my uncle has been in the car business for 30+ years. He is the one that made the recommendation to check in with JEEP Customer Care.

thanks for the input tho ?
