I placed my Sahara Altitude order on 6/15, and just heard from the dealer this morning that the cold weather group is holding up the order and that in order to push my order through, they needed to remove the cold weather group, which I really wanted, enough to cancel the order and consider my options. V6 auto. Anyone else heard of this? Seems odd to me.

7/18 - Ordered

7/20 - Jeep email VON

7/22 - VIN + status “D”

7/23 - pizza tracker doesn’t show VIN or anything exciting

Tread Lightly membership 7/19 and had the electronic letter from Mandy on 7/22.
I also used code “TL!Life” during check out which dropped the cost of the membership down to $80

I ordered 6/9, scheduled a couple weeks ago, and dealer said I have a ship date of 8/25. I have a rubicon with almost every option including cold weather group.

Thanks for the info. I figured as much. Not sure if this is a Sahara thing or an Altitude thing or what. Pretty frustrating. I'm thinking of canceling and starting from scratch with something else. My order hasn't moved at all since it was placed. At least now I know why, even if I don't understand the intricacies.

I emailed my dealer about the Altitude trim not being available. Recieved a message back that it would be built. There is an option to cancel and order a different trim, but I'm going to wait mid Aug to decide. Your info is very promising to me. I didn't order the cold weather group, (sorry for your hold up). Just thought that we will have 2 of the few Altitudes built in 2023.

I ordered a Sport S with cold weather group on 6/15 and have an estimated ship date of 8/17. Seems strange the cold weather group would hold you up versus something else but who knows

How do you know you're status D? I emailed Gupton for my status code and they said to just use the tracker as it's the latest and same info they have. Obviously that's not true since I got my VIN from JC and it's not showing on my tracker

OK people you SHOULD HAVE known that ordering a Jeep right now would be a wait. Especially if you ordered near the end of the 2022 model year. Dealers should have told you it would take a while. If you ordered in June you should not expect anything until October or later, especially if you live a long way from Toledo. When I ordered in March 2022 I was told it could be 16 weeks. I would have waited 6 months or more if I had too. If you do not want wait for a factory built Jeep, then find one on a lot. We are STILL in a pandemic!!! Stores cannot keep food fully stocked, there are shortages of baby formula. ALL car makers have been experiencing parts shortages, especially computer chips. If you cancel your Jeep order good luck ordering something else that you want, as those vehicles will be delayed too. Ask the people who ordered Broncos. I am not trying to be mean, but come on be realistic. If the worst problem you have during the pandemic is that you had to wait 6 months for a Jeep, then you are blessed...

Renee sent me my POC on Friday (yesterday) and it had my Vin and Status D on it. Since she doesn’t work on Wednesdays Jeep beat her to me with my VON so I already knew that part.
This is our first time ordering/ 1st jeep so if mentioning status D is incorrect I apologize for any confusion!

Really hope that's not the case, cause personally, I'd 100% cancel my entire order if I had to give up the heated seats, steering wheel and remote start.

Spent my entire life driving around with a cold butt, and now that I've tried it, I'm not living in a region with sub-0°F winters and then buying a $60k+ new vehicle without it.

2 dr Willys ordered 6/30. No vin, no schedule.
I also have a 2 dr Willys Sport on order (6/29) with no VIN or Schedule date. I wonder if their waiting to pool all the two doors at one time (like someone mentioned in an earlier post)

So just got a message from my dealer, to have a backup build. I guess Jeep is going back and forth on wether or not they will be building the Altitude. I'm super bummed! I'm still holding out hope they build it!
Made decision to cancel Sport Altitude and ordered a Rubi. With not knowing when it will be built, I will get a few more bells and whistles than what I need, but it will still be awesome!

Not odd at all. Car manufacturers use very old (outdated) microchip designs. Chip fabricators are not investing in increasing their capacity to produce ancient chips and car manufacturers are refusing to update their platforms/systems because they love clinging to old tech as long as possible. The two groups are in a Mexican standoff of sorts.

I believe it is Chevy that is shipping vehicles with heated seat option packages but no actual microchips or function. Then you're given the option to have the dealer add it in for free later when they can get the parts.

You either have to wait as long as it takes, order a car without it, or find something new/used on the lot with the feature.
