What if ppl who wait longer for custom order have a better/worse experience with Jeep ownership? Maybe the delays are due to more care while being built, or missing parts and sloppy work requires doing things multiple times and takes longer.
Maybe it's based on the ordering customers' last names or genders or credit history.
Maybe the night crew comes in and moves around all the components just to be annoying.

oh, mine was built on April 1St i can only imagine the issues i will have. Well ill find out Wednesday.

Are you sure the April fools isn’t the being built part ?
I wondered since I ask my dealer for pics of it when he told me it was delivered but never got any then about a week ago seen it on the website so know it's real or at least i hope.

I wondered since I ask my dealer for pics of it when he told me it was delivered but never got any then about a week ago seen it on the website so know it's real or at least i hope.

That is crazy especially if the2500 was a diesel.

Nah it was a gasser, they were approved by the bank for the 1500 but it was essentially an unclaimed order from someone else but the dealer gave the person a last chance and they said they wanted it so my parents ended up with a 2500 fresh off the truck z71 for what they we’re already approved for

I am 48 days now, post ship. Had an ESD of 5/8 when it shipped 3/28 (thought that was long..if only, sheesh!). Everthing flipped to TBD 5/9. As far as anyone can tell.. it is still in Belvidere OH. ?

Been waiting on an update from @Shark01. I feel like ours were up the same creek!
I was at almost 60 days from "shipped" until it actually arrived at the dealer. I was told for about the first month it was waiting to board a train, then told that severe weather had damaged a number of jeeps in the holding yard that had to be fixed.

It really is amazing/frustrating/bewildering/wonderful (depending on how your order goes) how some Jeeps are built quickly, arrive faster than estimates, etc. and others endure unexplained delays, take longer than estimates, etc.
I hope "it'll all be worth it," but I set myself up with false hopes each time I get a date, and summer is so short here, and I keep seeing all these other Jeeps around. :( Waiting sucks

I'm with you on that sentiment. Especially, when you don't get any answers and have to rely on speculation, the not knowing is what makes it frustrating. I believe it will be worth it. This however, will be my first and last custom order.
Frustrating doesn't begin to cover it. I've asked US Customer Care for an update 4 times in the past month. Each time I've been told that "Jeff" will reach back out within 24 hours. He has yet to do this.

My sales guy ghosted me for multiple emails, as did the sales manager. I finally cc:ed the GM of the dealer, and got an answer from the sales guy in 5 minutes with a "I'll send an update every Friday, I promise". Next Friday comes, no update. The next week I texted the sales guy on Friday, he sent back a blurry screen showing nothing.

They told me 8 weeks when I ordered this thing back in January. Its been 16 weeks, and they keep telling me it will be made on May 8th. The trackers show neither a build sheet nor a window sticker, so thats obviously crap.

At no point has anyone said anything about the recall on the manual transmission.

For spending $40k, I expect them to at least communicate as the plan changes, and follow through on commitments to share updates. I'm about to tell them to forget the whole thing and go over to the BMW dealer and buy a 2 series for the same money.
