Omg, it's nuts. I wish jeep would just give updates.
My dealer said it tends to lag behind a lot. He said sometimes it doesn’t even show “built” and shows up on the lot!

I wish that were the case with my jeep, but I'm stuck on schedule since 2/20. My dealer had told me it was due to 8.4 screen and tech package shortages. But I've seen movement on jeeptracker for those 2 groups, I also have a mt which has had no movement since the recall, so not sure what to believe.

Took delivery Saturday in the pouring rain from Koons, order placed 2/14 so just about 2 1/2 months. Very smooth delivery at Koons. Was not financing through them. They made a few efforts to sell the maintenance packages but pretty low-key overall. Total time was a little over 2 hours.

So, has anyone heard if any MT Wranglers are being built? I'm still in D1.

It’s looking like they’re gonna start up again very soon

Replace clutch assembly and provide alerts just in case it starts getting warm again.
There has been discussion on what replace clutch assembly really meant. Is it just put in the same but new assembly. To think this, it would be just for the clutches already delivered, and the ones awaiting production, just get the alerts.
But my opinion is a different assembly.

For those who finance what’s the typical down payment on a custom order? With my manual trans delay it’s gotten me up to 25% of msrp which I’m thinking after tread lightly and other discounts will be at worst case my out the door price. I’m just curious if that’s close to average for those who order and go through financing because all other times we’ve gotten cars we’ve only put like 1-2 gs down

I plan to put between 10-12k down but that’s just to help with lower payments and offset the taxes and plate fees since they so expensive out here. They took up almost all of the under invoice savings.

I'm going to put down about 1/2, so to keep payments where they were with the Cherokee. Got great money through CarMax for the Cherokee.

You should check with your dealer to make sure you are price locked on your quote for your order which you should be. That way you know what you need for a down payment that makes sense to you. Also, if your financing, you can go to as many banks as you possibly can in a 30 day window and get loan approvals to get the best rate or take whatever financing the dealership offers which wont be the lowest. Thats where they make their money. Your credit will only show 1 hard inquiry and wont affect your score that much.

My Willys got to the dealership Monday, so I guess that's what the TBD means. Just waiting to get the paperwork signed electronically, then I'll be having them ship it to me hopefully later this week or early next week.

Once it went into production, things certainly moved along nicely.

My 4-door Willys was around $51k (6% below invoice), and I'm putting $15k down and financing the rest with the dealership. The dealership's financing ended up being better than my bank's.
