I had one for like 3 days, so I didn't get to explore it completely :(
But, mine has been ordered and I expect to find out a lot of things about it!
I also plan to explore and learn once mine arrives as well

I picked my Rubi last week and there are no rear seat closure panels. Is this like the plastic engine cover and the dual interior light dimmers that have just disappeared or was it missed? Are all of you seeing these on yours? I'm waiting for the dealer to chime in but I thought I'd check here.

So, this piqued my interest in mine ('23 JLURXR delivered 10/1/22, factory cloth seats) After checking, mine also did not have the "cover"

After going through some online searching, it seems like it's a thing that gets added to factory Leather vs NOT in factory cloth seats.

I came to this conclusion after finding a Mopar cargo mat package that has a specific difference in order/price based on whether you have factory leather vs cloth seats.

Factory cloth includes parts to cover the "gap" and has a different styled mat vs factory leather.

I think I may end up buying this just to cover up that gap since it's completely triggered my OCD ?

EDIT: Also seems like you can order the gap hider itself along with the mounting plate separately, but is a lot more pricey for whatever reason...

EDIT 2: for those who like to order direct from Mopar, looks like they updated the part numbers for the mat packages:

For JLU's with factory cloth and NO installed gap hider: https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-trunk-mat-82216627ab

For JLU's with factory leather WITH installed gap hider: https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-cargo-area-liner-82216626ab

Saw this on another thread for anyone waiting for KZM status

TRANSPORT

A new set of patience is necessary. Jeep does not control this process. They also do not get timely info on the transit location at Jeep Chat. They often give two week windows and change that window frequently. Your dealer should have access to a transit logistics system such as Rubicon VLS (not the same as the Jeep Rubicon) that provides excellent detail especially if by rail. It shows when and where it was loaded in Toledo, the carrier and the ETA to drop. It also updates location, date and time every time the railcar passes an RFID reader with an updated ETA. If your dealer is reluctant to provide this information don't hesitate to push for it.

They should just let me drive the semi to my dealership, it helps two ways I get my jeep sooner and I get my lifetime dream of driving a semi lol

Very good detective work!
You made me curious, so I checked my wife's Cherokee for comparison. Leather seats, with the rear of the rear seats in cloth. No cover.

From the rear driver's side door.

Jeep Wrangler JL 2023 Orders - Check in here 2023-03-02 05.49.32

From the hatch view. No cover but a smaller gap. There isn't a huge gap like the Wrangler.

I guess it's decision time. Thanks much for the links!

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback. I had a 22 Sport Altitude (totaled/murdered, long story) and it did come with the gap hider so of course I assumed it was included on all trims. I'll rattle my salesman's cage again today.

I do think I need to put that cargo mat package to the front of the to do list though, I like that. Thanks again!

Has anyone placed an order in the last 2 days, was the order bank closed or scare tactics?
I placed Jan 27th so not much help other than seeing it might depend on dealer allocation.

Placed my order for white, 4 door Sahara on 2/20 and patiently waiting for an update. I know it wasn’t the past few days, but no word as of yet.

On the jeep tracker how long before the build date does the build sheet show up or is it usually at the same time? I understand the window sticker is affter it’s built
