81 days at c status. Well d I guess because I do have a VIN. It would just be nice to see some kind of movement. I would love to have my Jeep before thanksgiving. That seems less and less likely every day.
It does seek like just a few days ago you took a break from the forum after I got back from my CO trip...nope, that was well over a month ago.
I have put serious thought into putting down another deposit on a new order from the largest dealership in a 200 miIe radius. I'm not quite wealthy enough to flush a grand down the toilet for this experiment BUT☝? I am willing to accept donations for the cause. C'mon guys! Who wants to an answer to the question: Does (dealer) size matter?

I, too, am wondering if dealer size matters...

Same here. I was told 3-4 months when I ordered, which is still possible if there's some movement soon. Four months would put it around November 15 so I figure if I can get a schedule date sometime in or before early October it could happen. Otherwise... maybe a Christmas present?

Interesting that on Jeep tracker, every option I have has multiple other Jeep with those same options at D1 or later... with two exceptions:

1.) Granite Crystal rims - only 3 total show up. Mine in "C" and the other two in "D1"...
2.) Dealership - mine is the only one there from my dealer.

I realize the folks that sign up for Jeep tracker are a small subset of all orders, but it makes me wonder how much the size of a dealership might factor in to this process. Just spitballin' ideas.
I’m with ya. In hindsight, I prolly would of gone with one of those bulk dealers in ratbarts list. ESP since a couple of them are only about 2hrs away from me.

I'm guessing you could get that dealer to knock a grand off the price if they do that kind of high volume business. With interest over the life of the loan you'd save a lot more than the $1000 you would lose now.... XXOO

Yah, I’m pretty well convinced that dealer allocation is a big part of the wait. Also 2 door manual thing. Two strikes against a speedy delivery. The dealership across the street from my work is still getting 2022’s in so…

First time asking my guy if there were any updates since ordering so I hope what he’s saying is a little accurate. I’ve been at C status for 60 days now and haven’t gotten a VIN (I just asked if there was one) so I hope that means I’m moving to D1 soon and not D?:please: Until then I’ve been enjoying my final months with my mustang to kill time with 2 speeding tickets and counting??

Yep. I might consider it next time around. I really like my dealer and have been a very loyal customer, but I haven't been as impressed with them this go around. I think it would still have to be a dealer reasonably close though. I don't see myself buying a plane ticket as I know some folks have. I know it works out for them financially in the end but that's just not my style.

I've seriously considered this idea, except I got a pretty darn good deal as it is, from one of the dealers on Ratbert's sheet. When I ordered it even took them a few days to submit it because the guy that does it was busy inputting orders. Only 3 of us in my tracker at that dealer. So I don't know.

The only way I would do it would be to move off the manual transmission. But I think we may be getting close to manuals disappearing as EVs become more prevalent. So this could be my last one...

Ah well that would certainly explain it. That sucks! Although it sounds like some others in the thread haven't gotten their date from their dealer so are completely in the dark.
Just o mvement at all in 3 trackers Last I heard from dealer was I was in D1 but no sign of that in any of the trackers... I have a VIN but that isn't showing up either. Seems like trackers are working great for some and doing absolutely othing on others.. Very frustrating being totally in the dark

Another data point: my JLUR (3.6e, AT, 4.88:1, full time 4wd) finally came out of production after 24 days (Aug 26->Sep 19).

Good point about the transmission... hell, maybe about ICEs in general soon...

I've pondered it also, especially since I didn't get the great deal I know others have. But I think I'll stick it out because it's really just my own impatience that I'm fighting against. I don't need the Jeep at the moment. Plus, I know with my luck I would cancel the order and immediately get the text message that it moved to D1 and had been given a quick build date.... :)

In reality, you are probably at D not D1. That's when the VIN shows, but Trackers don't see it until D1 because they only look at the C data and then the D1 data and so on. So they don't see the VIN sitting there at status D because they don't even look. All trackers use the same Jeep data, so they likely will all update or not...

If there was a dealer willing to grant me access to their system, I could build a hell of a tracker for every status (it still would only be as good as the Jeep's ability to update the data, which is terrible). But on the flip side, the dealers would have happy customers that don't call, text and email constantly. Data transparency can be very powerful.
