Yep. I've read that also. Hard to fix the problem quickly because it will take either an influx of new workers (and who wants to apply for a job with these kinds of conditions) or slowing down operations to give existing employees some much needed time off.Agreed. If I am recalling correctly one of the biggest sticking points from what I read, is engineers and conductors are on call 24/7 and are expected to come into work at any time. Making work/life balance way out of whack. I may have that a little wrong, but the point of what I read was that some employees were leaving because of burnout and how their employment was effecting their home life. The potential strike has little to nothing to do with wages and benefits from my understanding.
