My JLU is only going a few hundred miles from the factory to the dealer. I sure hope it doesn't need get on the choo choo for such a short trip.

Similar situation but mine shipped out on Sept. 1 last week and mine is on the train. Hoping to hear from dealer soon…?‍?

Aw, well thanks that gets me to thinking. I do so love the Willys.

so just because I wanted power windows everything included with that power package is in yellow highlight and it’s $6000. So I either be content with roll up windows and move down to the sport Willys or I get an upgraded Wrangler. Me thinkin’ Willys.

^^^This. My 26 yo and 24 yo still talk about my red 2000 TJ. In fact my 24 yo son bought a 2006 TJ he missed it so much.

it can be an emotional thing with cars. My dad had little Chevys for years and years and years I remember all of them

Well I’m going to get a two door and unfortunately you can’t cherry pick your options and my Willys Sport package went from 44grand to 52 grand (both prices including tax and license )just because I wanted electric windows folks. All it takes is a cable that you unplug …! and I’m very disappointed. I might have to go down to a Wrangler from the Willys. KMN.

Thoughts? I didn’t want all the bells and whistles. Electric windows are included in the package that cost over $6000 I’m trying to get a price now on the stripped down Willys Sport. Damn.

You sound like me last year. At that price point, aren't you at the Rubicon? The lack of power windows never bothered me, it was the power locks that took some getting used to. Either way, the lack of power windows/locks did not hurt my resale on the '21.

Ordered 7/29 and this wait is killing me. Still in "D" status.

I sold my 2021 JLU on 8/5/22 (same spec, only black) and I thought the '23 would be built as fast as my '21... I was wrong. Last year it took them less than 3 weeks from order to delivery in St. Louis.

I am guessing (based on next to nothing) that I will have it by 10/15.... who knows though. Any thoughts?

Haha I think I’m a little tame for the Rubicon. I didn’t even look at the specs on it I just understood that it was pretty beefy I wouldn’t be putting it to that use
That being said it seems like going from the sport Willy to the Willy is the power package and some sparkles here and there there’s nothing about the drive train the engine or anything in that $6000 it’s all cosmetic.

I assume they will be the BF Goodrich KM2s. The willys has the Firestones and the willys sport gets the KM2s.... I think.

I’m going to go back down to the Wrangler and build that out and see what I can get for it but I think all the changes are more cosmetic than anything. Looks-wise, Willeys are hotter.

Well I think the high-end Wrangler probably has more of a highway tire on it. Although some of the BF goodrich all-terrain‘s look pretty chunky. I’d be happy with the KM2.

Mine isn't too far lol if they need me to, I'll go pick it up and bring it to the dealership myself! lol

I can't guarantee anything, but I don't think 2-door builds are being specifically delayed, as I took delivery of mine only 6 weeks after ordering. (Placed order 7/24, picked it up from my dealer yesterday 9/6).

All I know is that the percentage of 2-doors is currently significantly lower than expected. Anecdotal delivery characteristics have no bearing on the overall statistics.
