I have a 2020 rubicon 2.0l and I have all kind of lights on in the dash, check engine, shiter issue, dash lights flicker, wipers go crazy, vacuum pump cycles on and off, won't crank, the starter just bumps, but will crank sometimes, and when it does the electric fan just cycles on and off, and I also can't get the shifter out of park when applying the brake.
So both battery's are new, and I am trying to connect a Autel maxisys scan tool to diagnose, and it will read the vin when connected to the obd2 but prompts to connect the 12+8 cable to the gateway, when I do that it won't read the vin and establish connection, so is there a possible issue with the security gateway module, any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like a classic ground issue. At the very least tighten down all the battery grounds. If you can, trace all other grounds and make sure they are snug. Those here will also mention to press down all your fuses and make sure they are seated.

If both batteries are new and it wasn't because this was occurring previously, I would bet money a ground has come loose somewhere after the batteries were replaced.
