I am a Chevy truck guy, but I think the new Ram looks fantastic. Especially the interior. I think they did a great job with it.

I’m not a huge truck guy, but I have to say I think that new rebel looks way better, the current trucks are dated, a bit parts bin and were in need of an overhaul, from what I’ve see I think they did a fantastic job....and while I’m not a truck guy if I were going to buy one it would be a GMC, until I saw the 1500 redesign, it has prob swung me that direction.

One of the neat innovative features of the new Ram is a frame vibration dampening system. There is a sensor on the outside of the frame on each side that senses and counters vibrations. That's pretty cool.

Also, the rear seats are air conditioned and they recline. The reclining mechanism looks pretty neat, and appears to still leave you with plenty of leg room.

The 12" Uconnect is AWESOME! I'd love to somehow have that in the JL.

On the Hemi, I'm not sure what they call it, but it appears to be a belt start generator. It provides up to 130 pounds of additional torque. One of the big benefits will be that when it goes to 4 cylinder eco mode, the generator can engage with short duration throttle inputs and keep it from switching back to 8 cylinders. Keeping it from switching in and out of V8 mode will save gas, for sure.

The big news for JL lovers, though, is the 3.6 Pentastar with the belt start generator. They've been mum about the turbo 4 torque boost it gives, but with the Ram, they said that in the 3.6, it will give up to 90 pounds of torque! That's a nice boost and it will hit the JL in the fall. I know @Thegreatgrapeape will love hearing that, as I believe he is waiting for that engine.

Oh, the ginormous sunroof is another nice touch on the Ram.

I'm sure there is more, but that's what I know for now.

Fugly.

Ford, Chevy, GMC all look way better.

Rebel vs. Raptor? No contest. That said, Rebel looks waaay better than the regular 1500

Hate, hate, hate big, shiny wheels on a truck. Bleh.

Love the look of a blacked out Silverado or Sierra. The Dodge front end gets uglier every year. Regular (non-Raptor) F150 is a close second for uglier every year (Gen 1 Raptor > Gen 2 in terms of looks). I think GM wins for styling.

For the record, I’d pick any of these American trucks over a Tundra or Titan.

It isn't a big deal, to me. It still looks like a Dodge Ram, to me. I'm not as sentimental about that crosshair as I would be to the Chevy bow tie or the Ford blue oval. I'm missing the truck fender look, though. I wish it was more pronounced, like the 1990's Peterbuilt look of the Dodge Ram.

Btw, I'm with @themindbende on the Tundra or Nissan. I think the Nissan is ok, and better than the Tundra, but I'd put them in this order: Chevy/Dodge (tie), GMC, Ford, Nissan, Toyota. I'd have a very hard time right now deciding between a Chevy and Ram.

The Rebel should come with a winch bumper option like the Power Wagon.

The Ram looks like a Tundra and Chevy copied the F150. The big-rig type grille on the Ram was it's iconic look.

I think the new Rebel looks great. Definitely hate the top of the line model with all that chrome. Makes the front end look almost Japanese.

The interior and its features are amazing. FCA really hit a home run with this one imo. It's so nice that it makes the JLU look crappy and very outdated when compared to it.

Why is the base engine for this the Pentastar 3.6L V6? Is that not severely underpowered for a truck this size? Who the heck would buy this without a Hemi?
