So, my 2018 JL is starting to have a couple of issues. For the past 2 to 3 weeks I've been having what feels like a misfire to me. I have the 3.6 motor and 66k miles on the Jeep. It starts and idles perfectly. When I press on the accelerator it seems to hesitate just enough to be noticed. If I punch it, it seems fine. It also seems to cut out / misfire when I ease off the pedal to maintain speed. I'm trying to get it into my local dealer, but they are swamped and it could take up to a month to fix. Anyway, I've talked to other JL owners and have been told a different story by each one. So far, I've been told it's the crankshaft position sensor, or the TPS, or the entire throttle body, or a bad / clogged injector, or fuel pump, and finally...spark plugs. No CEL and I can't check for codes because of the security module (unless I bypass it).
Also, two days ago my AUX battery failed. I did get a CEL and the start/stop light on that one. I isolated the AUX battery and pulled the fuse. That fixed that issue. However, I am not sure if the other issue is related.
I'm not an expert mechanic by any means, but I'm usually able to fix things if I'm pointed in the right direction.
