2018 JL wrangler odometer issue

Just purchased our 2018 Wrangler Sahara used with 60K miles. Everything seems to be working fine... except that the odometer appears sometimes, not every time, beneath the gear display. We have learned how to set up the instrument cluster screens. We have repeatedly used the left steering wheel buttons to scroll through the display options with focus on setting the odometer "hide" and then odometer "show." This procedure does not affect the odometer display that seems to be in perpetual hide mode. Frustrated but not giving up!

Well, I took mine to the dealership for the issue. I think it’s something wrong with the cluster because they just replaced the whole cluster and it doesn’t have an issue anymore I had extended warranty, so it wasn’t too bad

OK, my daughters 2018 JLU was having the same issue for about a year, maybe less. We had the TSB installed two days ago, to correct the issue and her odometer reading almost doubled overnight. She went from 39000 miles after 72 months of driving and after the reflash, she now has 61000 miles. That is 22000 miles in 12 months. So in her first 6 years she did 544 miles per month then in the last year she did 1800 a month which can't be right. Nothing about her usage has changed that much. Anyone else have this happen or know what to do about it? I am calling the dealership today.

I've never heard of that happening, unless they swapped with a used cluster. Check it against what the receipt says, it should show the mileage when it was taken in for the repair.

Thats a great idea, it is in my wifes car and I will check that. Hopefully it has a mileage in number. I do not believe it was a swap, they told me there was a TSB out for it and they would just do that.
