My JLUS has a leak in the radiator (along pinch on driver side). Radiator will be replaced under MoparCare.

Question does the tech need to remove plastic grill to replace radiator?

Reason I'm asking is I have a winch/aftermarket bumper and winch that needs to be pulled in order to remove front grill, don't want to be charged for additional hours.

Thank you

I would say, "Yes", because of the minimal room to work, and everything else that needs to be moved/removed to get the radiator off.

I just did this twice in a month. My winch is pinned against the grill.

The reason you need to get the grill off is that there are 4 bolts holding the condenser to the radiator that need to come off. The heads of those bolts face forward.

I believe this is the reason the 2024 model year has a grill redesign, to accommodate the Warn winch option. There is a bottom piece on the 2024 grill. I haven't really looked into it, but it's on my long list of things to do eventually.

Yes. It only has to move about a half inch though, and if your Jeep is such that it doesnt pay enough to repair it, yes, the extra cost should be on you. Or you know, do it yourself.
