Here's a pic of 17" AEVs wrapped in 37" Mickey Thompson MTs. . . On my JLU.

I think 18" wheels would be okay, but I wouldn't suggest it for someone who likes to be a speed demo on payment. That's a lot of sidewall roll potential. In my opinion.

A slightly larger dia wheel might be a better option for you guys, especially on a 2 door.

So true there. They have come a long way with the Wrangler from the CJ Roots. My 74 CJ5 was the first I ever owned and I had some Armstrong Tires on that ride due to an Uncle that worked for that company. This was during my duty assignment in New Mexico and the roads/trails I drove it on were a huge experience for me. I miss that area of the country for sure.

My TJ had 31’s also and it did ride better than the CJ for sure. For to having kids I got into a 2003 WJ which I feel was one of the best of the Grand Cherokees. Kept that beast over 10 years.

My JK was stock for the most part. I put 32 inch Mud Terrains on that, and for the wife and I that was a mistake due to the noise.

This JL I have now came with the Willys Mud Terrains and will be getting a good 33 inch BFG here next week. The ride I am sure will be better, and the noise will somewhat be reduced.

Boy I’ll tell you what, I LOVE driving that Jeep. It is a very capable Jeep and does more than I can imagine.
