Hello All, 2020 JW JL Willys 12k miles

I have 4-Service Lights illuminated on the dash.

1. Engine
2. ABS
3. 4WD
4. Traction
5. Cruise "not a light"

*Took to dealer to fix. They said couldn't connect to computer and blamed it on an amp that had wires ran but nothing was connected to any harness or battery. Additionally they never troubleshooted the reasons why.
*6-months later a recall was issued. Brought to same dealer. Said it was done, picked up JL went home to see that they did not fix the recall stating they couldn't connect to computer. No further troubleshooting.
*I bought a """Vgate vLinker MC+ Bluetooth OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scan Tool for iPhone iOS, Android & Windows""" it connected to bluetooth but failed to computer.
*I forgot I had the """TTXSPP Cable Adaptor for Chrysler 12+8 Programming Cable Connector""" that I did not utilize. I will attempt that and see if it helps.
*Needless to say driving it with no 4WD in SD during the winter was no fun.

Quick Rant: Who at JEEP thinks its a convient idea to have windows auto-down but not auto-up? My trailhawk has that. Even so why not have the window switches on the door if the doors are off no switches needed. :)

Sounds like you might have a bad wheel speed sensor.

why not have the window switches on the door if the doors are off no switches needed.
Because that would add unnecessary weight to the doors, as well as extra wiring that adds additional weight.

2nd the bad wheel speed sensor. However it may not be the sensor itself, it may be the connector to the wheel speed sensor became loose, dirty, etc. That happened to me. Cleaned & reseated the connector and all is well.

so i'm going to ask a dumb question. where are the speed sensors located by the wheels and are they a specific look to just know that is them? how would i test them? since i am unable to get computer access. Friday the scanner comes in as i misplaced the scanner and then i can try with the red cables.

spoke to service manager and he keep changing the story and what was wrong, blaming a throttle body but that was checked, then it was a unknown non-mopar part number harness under the drivers side, except there hasnt been any new aftermarket harness, only thing there is the component speaker box that has nothing to do with the computer, kept saying we'd have to replace the harness, what harness couldn't give me an answer he went off techs notes which never mentioned the actual harness (if true) or location etc. he was not accepting any responsibility and i told him this wont be the last time you here from me.

told him, so you bring a computer to get repaired as you are unable to loan the operating system and you had installed some non-windows apps. the tech will try and say i can not get the OS to work either here is your laptop back buy. no further troubleshooting.

This is mostly gibberish. A wheel speed sensor will not cause the engine light to come on. Many engine faults will cause the trio of abs/trac/4wd lights to come on.

? well my abs traction control service 4wd lights have been on for over a year. 12k miles

Billion Auto in SD said they couldn’t connect to the computer and blamed an aftermarket wiring harness not Mopar under the steering column. well nothing exists.

Finally for the new vgate mc+ that i misplaced and previously couldn’t connect to the computer either then i remembered the attwel red harness then suddenly i have access.

So i can access the computer but a dealership can not. doesn’t make sense.

Everyones pretty much said lights are possible wheel sensor. there was no explanation as to why those lights all of a sudden came on. try driving a JL with no 4WD n SD lol

i’m going to run the scanner and see all the errors that come up or any other data.
