Hi All.
I finally got my soft top today for my 2 door (got my jeep on August 24th). First, gotta say I absolutely hate this design and I miss the ease, quickness and simplicity of my TJ soft top of the last 18 years. This top is just too much...and that's before even talking about what it does when it's down.

Second, I need help! This top is so tight that I can't even lower it. I can only undo one of the clamps at the front onto the windshield because once I undo one the other is too tight and won't unhook. If I release them at the same time they both won't undo. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Any pictures?
I can take the top back with 1 finger. Sometimes i worry it's almost too easy!

geo, nurse her along and keep your fingers crossed! man ten days seems like forever.

tonka, you sure it is installed correctly? i would check, because my soft top raises and lowers with ease. its way easier than the soft top on jenns JK and it seems to be the consensus with those of us that got em factory.

Cristina, Jenns done all the hard ones she says, its the easy ones she wants to catch up on now. lol she is in a bunch of the old wayoflife vids on youtube and they got a vid of her toad hopping steps in Moab that still gives me a heart attack.

Morning all. I just put a call into my local Jeep shop to get some Fluid Film sprayed on. He charges 50 bucks for a Jeep. I looked around and that is a hell of a deal. Just waiting on a call back to set the date

in my excitement to respond i forgot to mention that being without your doors and windows in Phoenix, during torrential downpours is, to say the least, WET! like soaked to the bone wet. 4" of water in the footwells wet, till i was able to pull the plug. tarped both jeeps while in the lot but we both got hammered the first night and had to pull our drain plugs. we both had to drive in it, luckily not far. and i will still answer with a straight face when asked "what happens when it rains and you've got no doors?", you get wet.

So... dealership has no option to order a soft top. And, bless the company, no way of knowing when or even if...
Mopar has one for 1700..$, ouch! Anyone knows any other? I’m not gonna rush, but would love a soft top. Anything on the far, far horizon?

I figure I have about 5 month before I really need a soft top. I have time for them to come out

I got an email from rock hard that they will have skids for the 2 door soon. Which could mean a couple weeks or months but at least they are on the radar

I'm not running any lift the rubicon stock suspension is awesome, in a few years and 50k miles later i'll change the suspension, but i never understood why people just throw out their brand new rubicon suspensions

There's definitely something wrong, because this is the easiest jeep top ever to take down. did you get the premium top or the standard?
