2 DOOR JL build/order discussions master thread

We are fine right here. Our subjects change from time to time but that's what friends do.
The 2019 Wrangler is not ready to order or "Build a Jeep" at this time. I was going to ask
at a later date but let"s do it now. Just what is the total count of 2018 Wrangler 2 Dr's
built and the break down of models ?? Do we own a limited production ?? Will 2019
models surpass us ??

I didn't say we should move, I said the thread should be renamed to just be all inclusive of 2 doors cause we do talk about everything and anything. Maybe 2 door bullshit. Lmao

Yes we could rename it but would we lose all our posts ?? We have a special history
here we can refer back to of the "CRAZY" waiting time that we thought would
never end. And you newbies should read back to our earlier posts to see how
really painful the wait was. I for one am glad I waited so very long to get the Rubicon
I ordered. All of you that waited deserve a lot of credit !!

the thread truly is a "meeting ground" of fellow brethren who have gone through some stressful times during the genesis of the 2 door role out.

I ordered the day that the 2 door production officially started (09 April), changed my order one week later and I often times feel like a newcomer to those that ordered back in Dec/Jan/Feb/Mar time frame.

I could not even order as I had to wait to see if I could even fit, 7 month wait and it was close to being a no (I barely squeek into it).
I must have flipped flopped on build options 2 times a week though lol.

Was like waiting for Christmas as a kid, I am glad I held out. Love my toy

We do not have to rename this Thread. We all have been here for a long time.
NO need to change this. Why change it anyways ?? We have over 800 pages of
times we should remember. Sure I do not post as much as I did before but I am
here with all of you everyday. Let's get back to our 2 Dr Wrangler state of mind.

as you can be on two Threads. All these people here mean a lot to me. They became
part of my life through all the BS we had. I will always know their names and the fun

I'm loving the 2 door manual.

Finding out more and more as I go. Love the adjustable gauges, new off road pages, and this lovely V6. It really likes being pushed. 3-4k rpm and it moves along just fine. It's more comfortable and quieter. What's not to love?

So...

Anyone have a lead on 2 door armor? Skid plates and rock sliders with a bit more of a step are on my list next.

I feel like it’s an odd topic to even be discussing, cuz when it comes down to it we’re all just old school, purist, 2 door Wrangler lovers and owners! Whatever we discuss, we all have that awesomeness in common!
With that said, way back when all the 2 door threads were combined into this one, I found the location & title kinda odd. It doesn’t bother me enough to want a change of any kind. It’s definitely been more of a chat for a while now & I love that! If people don’t like what’s going on in here, nothing is keeping them from moving along, although they’re certainly always welcome to stay!

Why start a new one? We can rename this one when someone comes up with a cool name. As long as it contains 2 door in it.

I talked to Ace Engineering today and they just now started production on the 2dr sliders. My order has been waiting for over a month now. I think they might fit the bill for a step too. I'm hoping they provide just a bit of tire slinging protection.

Yep, looking for a bit of rock deflection myself. The rear fenders are getting fairly pitted.

I'm currently looking into the Mopar offering if only to keep the lines. I might just have some tubes welded onto the current slider. Haven't really seen the solution that tickles me yet though.
