How easy is it to install? What tools did you need?

Yes, as others have reported the system will not slide over the stock pipe. So, I took it to my buddies shop and he swedged (expanded) the Magnaflow pipe a bit and I took it back home and completed the install in 25-30 minutes. Other than the pipe not being enlarged enough the install needs simple hand tools (sockets, ratchets, & extension). If you chose to have a shop install it, they are ripping you off if they try to charge more than an hour for labor.

Tip: Lean the back seat forward before putt the top all the way down. Once locked down, you can put the seat back. The window bag will be sandwiched between the seat and top, but it's no so tight that you need to worry about it.

I did let a small crinkle develop on my back window by carelessly (and too quickly) jamming the bag behind the seat. Hot sun will fix it, but be sure to take your time when stowing it back there.

I will try to remember that, my back seat lives in the garage :P
I used the bag to keep the top safe under a futon. The moving blankets i was using for top now can cover the rear seat.

Now I can only dream that someone will make some high quality seat covers that are not too thick. I barely fit in the Wrangler, super thick foam is a no go.

Thanks for letting me know. I was thinking of getting the cat back, I assume that would fit better, since it would be thier pipe its connecting to.

Yeah... hard to be a Viking! As I said before I love my Bartac seat covers, but they are thick.

Had an awesome time at the Great American Jeep rally in CT and even got a trophy for best JL in the show and shine! I don't know how many Jeeps were there but last year was around 1400. with everything you can imagine represented. They had nice Jeep playground as well. On the way home the Jeep wave index wa pegged at 100%! A good day for sure!

Congrats Fred, JL looking good with new tires & wheels....thanks for the info regarding your tire/rim choice. I’m undecided on cat back exhausts...choices, the Magnaflow is pricey, and possibly having to swedge the new pipe to fit sounds like a hassle for a diy.

I have had my JL for 2 months and the OHV recreational park north of me has been on fire the entire time.. Northern CA is massive forests and Its been fires like never seen before both last year and this... Scary, but on the smaller scale I just wanna go wheeling in the mountains lol

Its amazing fires can burn for months even with massive crews from around the world fighting it
