Howdy hi all! Been crazy busy with no real time to post or do Jeepy things.

Our Foster daughter will be leaving us next week to go live with family. Judge decides Monday who that is, praying she goes to live with her sister. We are shutting our home down after that, just too physically and emotionally draining. I could go on and on about how the system sucks for foster parents, but won’t.

Anyways, I will now find myself with time to do Jeepy things! Going to start regular visits to Hidden Falls Adventure Park, which is like half hour from home. Some members of the Jeep community do newbie runs at the Park, going to join up for a run.

Jeep has been running great, only issue I have is some wind noise up front above 35 miles or so. Been casually trying to track it down on my own, but having driven a convertible daily for a few years I am used to wind noise. Easiest solution is turning stereo up!
Wow, very sorry Jason. I’m sure she was very well taken care of, and you extending your home to a person in need, is very amazing, you’ve done a great thing and should be proud. I can’t imagine what you are feeling right now, but you must be good people, I doubt your relationship with her is over, even though she might be living elsewhere. I hope you can find some happiness knowing what you’ve done for her, even in this time of sorrow.

Thank you. Would you mind taking one looking straight on the back? Looks great. I think this is my next exhaust.
I have the same one, be prepared to take it to a muffler shop to install it. It doesn’t just slip on the factory exhaust, they didn’t make it big enough to just slip on. I love it, looks great, has a low tone growl, the install just sucks.

BTW, for any of us that have the 8.4 radio, keep you eyes peeled for the OTA update. Some folks have been getting updated today. Sadly, not me yet. I've seen MA, NY, FL, UT, MD, and TX so far.

Edit: OTA Update is finally here!

All I can think of is the Vodka. That name is also very fitting. Either way, both are perfect. Now, if your state has a goose on a license plate, that would be cool. Or get a goose decal on the tailgate or somewhere. Or a decal of a bottle of vodka. ;)
Thanks, Chad! Yes, I also thought Grey Goose vodka was fitting - not because I’m a heavy drinker ;) but because I have French roots too like the vodka. I much prefer a good IPA over a strong drink (so a reference to Goose Island IPA also works!).

You did a beautiful, beautiful thing. One of my friends was a foster child, and she speaks fondly of her favorite foster parents, whom she still sees occasionally. You made a positive difference in this little girl’s life.
:fist bump: :please: :fist bump: :please: :fist bump:
From everything I’ve heard being a foster parent is very difficult and draining (it’s something I might consider doing someday, so I researched it a bit), so kudos to you for putting the needs of the children you hosted ahead of yours. No doubt you’ve earned a lot of happy Jeeping to recharge your batteries! Enjoy the trails!!!

PS: Agree that the wind is more noticeable on a Wrangler than other vehicle I’ve driven! I do notice it at higher speed (above 60-70 mph) or on windy days. But in my case as far as I can tell it’s just a function of the higher cabin and not-so-aerodynamic design, rather than any specific sealing flaw.

I got the update today in Florida. It took 30 minutes but I have no idea what it was for

Wheels are Quadratec Rubicon Extremes in Black with a satin finish. Backspacing is 4.5 with -6mm offset. Weight is only another 10#'s or so, no problem. I have seen several people carrying 35" tires on their JK with no rubber bumper support, (which is a weaker tailgate than the JL), not what I would do. I did add 1/34 PVC pipe with a rubber chair foot on the tire end, other end in the stock rubber bump stop and it is nice and tight. Tires handle well and no change in gas mileage, maybe even better.

Thanks for letting me know. I was thinking of getting the cat back, I assume that would fit better, since it would be thier pipe its connecting to.
