The hinge protection is great for $20 but I felt a bit more coin was worth the "look" of the door sill guards vs 3m clear bra material. I'm not stomping on that area a lot but I've stepped up on it enough to think that it may well be functional for my Jeep.

In the end, it's all personal preference. YMMV

Assuming that I don't drive it to the airport and leave it in covered parking there, it looks like I can shuffle around some stuff and there will be room to put it in my garage and still have my Harley on the same side parked crossways. My pitbull is right by the garage and alerts anyone if a stranger comes around The garage opener will be disabled and the "active defense" security system will be enabled even though someone will still be at the house. I have a couple of 55g drums and bags of lime, just in case something needs disposing of.

Beware of sociopathic engineers with too much time on their hands...

Go for a "Woodie" look... Take a thin piece of cedar like is sold for closet lining and cut it to fit the area that you need. Sand it very smooth, rounding off the edges. Then put many coats of polyurethane over it so that it looks very glossy. Then glue it to the door sill or use some double sided carpet tape.

Has anyone bought the Mopar brand door sill guards which are tufted rubber and says Wrangler on it? Around $45 for 2 door model JL's.. Thoughts?

I got them, mainly for looks but they kind of blend in with the granite crystal.

My red "unicorn" was delivered to the dealership late last night and I picked it up around noon today. At 7.5 weeks, it *seemed* forever, but that's nothing compared to how long some people have been waiting.

I was browsing through forums; saw 2018 orders ended July 19. Some orders may still trickle, but LEDs and steel bumpers are on restriction. So...the saga continues... I’m so glad I got everything I wanted! I did ask today at the dealer about ordering a premium soft top. They said it’s not available for purchase yet. Did anyone hear different? How are the quadratec soft tops?

Well my Jeep has arrived. 7 weeks from order to delivery. It's badass!

I have been getting the same answer trying to buy a soft top. Waiting on Bestop. I like their NX plus tops.

big day for us here, the 07 JK went in for a rebuilt engine and tranny. 196600 miles. the tranny was getting tough to find gears on the Rubicon trail so that settled it and in she went. plus the old toadster engine was tired. hopefully all goes well and Jenn has her Toad back soon (she is driving my JL in the meantime....yikes!) lol

I had forgotten I still had a bag I had not opened after I picked up my Jeep...

Odd part was I knew I had everything... I opened it and was surprised to find a hard top freedom panel storage bag... I have a Premium soft top, I guess its an over sight, or should it have been a storage bag for the soft top sides?
