Well, let's say that you do leave your plate numbers visible on the photos that you take of your vehicle. Maybe, somewhere along the way, you rub someone the wrong way and they realize that you live close to them because you post your location. So, they just happen to see a vehicle that looks like yours in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart and since you allowed your plate to be visible, they know it is you. Maybe they just show their displeasure with you by keying your vehicle. Maybe they follow you home to see where you live... Maybe they have some ulterior purpose and the security concerns escalate from there. It's easy enough to blur the license plate number before you post the photo online, so it takes very little effort and possibly gives you a bit more security. It protects people from the casual nut-job. Since the NSA is reading everything we post, it doesn't protect us from the *professional* nut-jobs though. :)
NSA guys have 2 door Jeeps too??

Did everyone get their Jeep tool kit that is supposed to be in the center console?
I didn't. No locking lug nut either. Checked the glove box, center console, jack compartment and freedom top storage bag.

I know she is! I thought you said Jenn, on the video? Seems she knows her Jeeps too! Sorry if I renamed her?
I don’t know about tube doors, but I think they look really cool. I may consider later on, but has to go on my wish list for now. So I’ll have time to see how you like them. If an old jeep veteran like you will like, then I will be sold!
Lol Jennifer is the old vet, she been jeepin longer than me in her JK named toad. I was more dirt bikes and desert trucks before Jenn converted me ;-) My Jeep Betty is getting gussied up because Jenn knows how to work it :-D

I had to tell my sales guy, as he didn't even know about the tool kit! He found it, but I don't know where. I wasn't sure if the locking lug was included or not, so I went to my local garage and they ordered the Mopar ones for me. $72 bucks later...

Yes Fred and it is with license plate bag. For all of you with Rubicon you should
have---Tool Kit--Heat shrink--Loc Lug Nut on Spare--and Owners Manual.
My dealer put 5 Loc Lugs on and ordered my Owners Manual. I also got
a Owners Manual from 877#. If you do not have all of this contact your dealer.

The front plate was already on when I picked it up. Nothing in the console, glove box or in the jack compartment.

If you got the Aux Switches, they send a little bag with some metal tips and some heat shrink tubing. Package contents is worth about $.29 . If you did not get it do not give a darn as it is crapola.

Of course, you can also just use the smudge feature on your photo editing software to make it look a little less like you just pixelated the plate or use the spray paint tool to obscure it. Maybe something like this?

jeep-jl-mohito.webp
But, if you don’t strip the geolocation from the EXIF stored in the photo, all the smudging in the world is useless.

Got the kit. No lug nut, for which I was thankful. I hate those. The only thing they’re good for is aggravating me.

@Sweetwater

Getting a spare tire wheel lock seems to be hit and miss. Some report they got it and others say they did not. My Rubi did not come with one. I'm glad cause the Mopar Wheel Locks for the JL are downright ugly. Stand out like a big, shiny, metal sore thumb.

Fred the only place now to look for these would be in the back
under the rear speaker. Yes it is storage area but not much.
They might have slipped down under speaker.
