Good Morning All!

Some of the comments about “The Youths” of today are funny to me, seeing as every generation thinks the next are slackers, no initiative, and leading us on a road to hell. Elvis, Rock and Roll, Beatniks, Hippies, Heavy Metal, the Internet age, the list goes on and on.

On a Jeepy note, my updates show mine went North of Toledo, then over a bit closer to Detroit. Guess it’s taking a scenic route to Texas.

And cmb should be picking his Jeep up today! Cmb, if you see a red Miata creeping down your street that’s just me looking at your sweet ride!
Didn't get home until about 5:30. With the rain almost didn't happen. Was about half way to Houston and the dealer called to make sure I wanted to stop since they were getting pounded with rain and had about 6 inches of water in front of the building. Said they were thinking about closing. Told him if they were open I was coming in, until they tell me they are closed. Called again shortly after that to tell me the none of the back end guys came in because of the flooding so there would not be able to detail it, again told him I didn't care if they threw mud on it if they were open I was coming in.

Since many of the road around the dealer had standing water I was able to drive through 6-10 inches of water on parts of my test drive. Felt like a proper Jeep test drive.

So had a long drive back in driving rain, thing handled great.

Will send a few photos in a bit.

Looks like you'll be testing whether it leaks in the rain if you come over here today...

Was that at River Oaks Jeep?
Picked mine up at River Oaks today, Lots of standing water around there. Heavy rain most of the way back to Austin and no leaking.

Yeah, I thought it looked liked River Oaks' parking garage... That's where I ordered mine from...

The main problem that I have over there is all the good smelling BBQ from the nearby restaurants... That is definitely an area that has a bit of a drainage problem... But the same could be said for a LOT of Houston... :)

We were planning on having lunch in the area after picking the Jeep up, unfortunately because of the weather we just were not able to do it

Pouring rain around here today! Gonna be standing in the rain tonight across the street from cmb, looking at his Jeep while I wait for mine.

Will do, will be changing the lug nuts this week so will do it then.
You going to the black Gorilla splined / system?

Black lugs will look great on that color JL.

Remember, 130 ft/lb torque for wheel lug nuts and 59 ft/lb on the spare tire lugs
