Yeah, I can understand that. If and whenever I get mine, I probably won't mess with the hassle of my local service department. I figure reservoir caps had weep holes for years and years, so drilling a tiny hole surely won't hurt it.

I totally understand. I am not cancelling, but the fun and excitement is gone. I've been driving my truck these last 3+ months and am starting to think I pulled the trigger to fast. My truck had a few repairs right after I put the deposit down on the jeep. But, it's running like a champ now and I just like it. But, I am glad some people cancelled their order because FCA should not be rewarded for handling everything so terribly. I forgive the delays because I understand it is a new product. But, the misinformation and outright withholding of information/updates is unforgivable. I don't know that I will ever order a vehicle again. You either have what I want on your lot or I will just stick with what I got from now on.
I totally agree with you, all the misinformation and bs we received on updates is unacceptable. We also have to be realistic, we know the order ( 2 door0 will sell and they will make a bit more profit since they won't give the same discount you had to the other buyer since they are so few put there. Believe me when you drive it, you put aside about all the bs and stuff you had to put up with.
I sure hope so. Although I cruise this site every day. I just am not sure that I will have that excited felling when it arrives. And if I don't act excited, my wife will be pissed and my friend (my dealer) will be disappointed too. So, I hope I can just let it go and be happy. I've always been a grudge holder, lol.
And thing is, people walking away from orders will not hurt FCA at all, at least in the short term. Someone else will just come along and buy it.
Those who had deliveries, please let the rest of us know. Well, maybe this will cause get one more delay, necessary, but delay nonetheless.
I believe it excludes the manual transmissions.
I looked at the government's website. For whatever reason 2018 jl (late build) and jk have different pages for searching for recalls. However the document with the actual recall lists Jeep Wranglers built from 8/??/2017 - 5/23/2018. That would include JL and JK. I do not have a KZed Jeep so my VIN doesn't work for the government site. We need someone that has his/her jeep to test it.
I sent it back, put the money into the Jeep, however I had a lot of fun with it and will get another at some point.
