For those who have received their 2-door Rubi and who chose the Infotainment / Alpine Premium Package: is it true that the rear subwoofer is embedded in the floor for the 2-door (versus side wall for the 4-door)?
I read that in another thread and it seems counterintuitive to me. The 2-door having less cargo space, I imagine we’re more likely to fill it up. I’m no acoustics expert but covering the subwoofer with a thick layer of random stuff doesn’t seem ideal...
I’m not going to lose sleep over this, but I’m just curious if the other thread maybe had it mixed up (subwoofer in sidewall for 2-door)?
Apparently the 4dr models get it put in the rear side wall, but the 2drs are in the floor and you lose the storage under the rear mat.

Huh. Again, not a dealbreaker at all (I guess I broadcasted my utter lack of care for practical considerations when I chose a 2-door JL!) but that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. I guess they didn’t have a choice. I’d still rather be in a loud Jeep with wind noises and muffled acoustics due to too much packed fun, than in a boring car. :involve:
Thanks for the response, Stinger226!

Every picture I've seen has it in the floor on the 2-door. With that said, I thought it was a bit disappointing also.
Thank you, McBeevee! Glad to know I’m not alone ;)

I just discovered iamjake (YouTube channel), which will definitely help me put my (very) minor grievances such as this one in perspective. Wow - this guy knows how to make the most of a Jeep!

Congratulations, nice! How long from KZ to delivery? I am anxiously awaiting mine . Went to KZ last Thursday at 7:30 AM.
Beautiful. I almost got the Ocean Blue Rubi. That is referred to as the "Superman" look in the car industry. Blue with Red Dash! Congrats, looks great!

Thats basically a great deal, alot of dealerships not gonna do it. You would likely need to travel a good bit to go to one of the dealerships doing those kinda deals (esp in bigger states it seems, not seeing that in northern CA)

Depends on trim I think invoice is roughly 10% under msrp, but you wanna find out what invoice is for your build and see if you can get under it.
There is a thread for preferred dealorships. One member called 15 of the top dealors and got a quote on the same configuration. Same set of dealors most of us are buying from. Tri-city in Eden NC was my choice. They are close to VA. too. Great deal!

I would not be surprised if they changed it on the 2019 model

I'm wondering how much better than that I can do on a base 2 door with A/C and anti spin. Not the most expensive, or most profitable, build. I haven't seen anyone here with a $30,000 MSRP build tell how far below MSRP they were able to score.
The MSRP on my sport is 32550 and I am using the affiliate rewards program. After doing some investigating and talking to an affiliate rep you will need to see the actual dealer invoice and look for the preferred price it will be the PP price on the invoice. My dealer tried to give me a different number but I told him I need to see the dealer invoice when he gets it. The price is 1% below dealer invoice.

Does anyone know if I should be worried to be in I for 2 weeks? The 866 lady said no, of course. 877 and the infamous jeep chat also confirm the I.

I wish we still had Drillionaire around. He would actually tell you what was wrong with your Jeep and how many were in the repair line.

i've tried so hard to be positive, but my dealership called me and told me my ETA was delayed AGAIN to sometime in the beginning of June. Went into KZ May 2nd. I'm so sad :(

Honestly, this forum is the only real support. No doubt I obsess over this, but I feel everything is at a standstill. On the other hand, things ARE moving.
I signed up for the site that cannot be named (pew warc1), but all I have is the order, which is accurate. I guess I’ll wait for further messages, not sure how that works. Anyone knows if I have to ask daily on that unnamed site?

and gateline number... as soon as you were D1. .. would LOVE to know my gateline number as it gives very good confidence on your build date, just divide by around 1000 and you have the number of production days til you're on the floor
