The logistics are pretty complex. To illustrate, below is a picture of the Gibson Yard, just outside of Chicago, where my JL sat for the last two days. It's the largest autocarrier switching yard in North America. I believe it serves all six of the major North American railways. Other than the five lines of red/brown cars at the bottom of the image, every railcar is an autocarrier. My Vette from Kentucky came through here, as did my JL. The image date from Google is March 17, 2018, so it's very likely that some of those railcars would be carrying JL's for members of this forum.That is terrific. But leave it to transport to complicate things as much as possible. It’s like flying tickets: you need 10 layovers all over the. Ountry to get from A to B.
