A 25% increase in fuel economy with an engine that puts out 50% more hp, powering a vehicle that weighs 10% more seems like a pretty significant improvement to me.

I so wanted a Manual Diesel which would have boosted MPG's alot, but alas I'm happy with the Pentastar 2, and it's 22-25 on the highway. So far that's about what I'm getting, it's better than my JK, so no complaints.

Most that have been reporting MPG so far have been sports and/or JLU's so 22-25 HWY is good to hear for a 2 door Rubi! I too shift at low RPM's and try to max my MPG, now just need my JLR to be built...............and delivered

I wish I liked the 4 door models... I'd be driving my Jeep now but they are so ugly...

Good for him I guess. His Jeep was probably being made as a dealer stock model and his build lined up with it. So he got it super fast.

im just saying necessity is the mother of invention. after the 70's gas crisis car companies made a significant effort to increase mpg. After prices skyrocketed in the mid 2000s auto manufacturers made an effort to increase mpg again. once gas hits 5 bucks a gallon in this country we will see new advances in engines again.

So it finally seems my build is in full swing. Just got an email from the case manager saying its been built but its pending additional option installation. Im assuming thats the hardtop headliner... Any of you built guys order that as well, how long did that process take?

I realize the delivery is probably going to take weeks but Im glad its getting somewhere, was at the end of my rope last week.
