Today makes 3 weeks my 2 door rubicon has been built and sitting waiting to be shipped. I’ve stopped posting on here as much because it just reminds me of my frustrations. I will let you all know when I get it (send some happy thoughts). Sweet water and I are in identical situations.
I'm at two and a half weeks built and "shipped". When I was built I asked my dealer when I could expect it. His quote "add two weeks to whatever the lastest date FCA said it would be there". That set a good expectation in my head where I should be.

In 15 years they have only been able to improve the mpg a stinkin 4mpg?
A 25% increase in fuel economy with an engine that puts out 50% more hp, powering a vehicle that weighs 10% more seems like a pretty significant improvement to me.

We'll go build your own super awesome engine that gets 500 miles to the gallon and develops 20000 horsepower while teaching blind orphans sign language and finding a cure for cancer.[/QUOTE

You gotta put your text outside of my quote.

Any who that's cool. My kids pre School teaches them asl. My two year old would rather sign and talk most of the time. Pretty cool.

So after I changed up and ordered a Rubicon last week I thought I would email the hotline, just to see what I would get for an answer. Back when I ordered the Sport S I got a nice reply with some good details.

On the Rubicon I got the full copy paste generic response. PST is mid May, blah blah blah. They did manage to cut and paste the same line twice, and at the end referred to a Sport S, even though the title of response said Rubicon and had my correct VIN.

You know, if ONLY there was some way you could go to a web page and query a database. I know, what I describe is Ancient Alien technology that has been lost to us ages and ages ago. Maybe by 2030 we can recover this amazing tech and put it to use!

im just saying necessity is the mother of invention. after the 70's gas crisis car companies made a significant effort to increase mpg. After prices skyrocketed in the mid 2000s auto manufacturers made an effort to increase mpg again. once gas hits 5 bucks a gallon in this country we will see new advances in engines again.
