My good friend told me 2 door production has stopped. They supply FCA and his co worker is in the Toledo plant. He confirmed they have stopped 2 door production for now.

Also want to add they did build some 2 doors, he said it was around 4-6 a day for a about a week or so.
Did your friend think to ask him why?

I asked him that and he wasn't sure but thinks he heard something about underbody. He's not entirely sure as he really only cares if its related to their process. They see stuff like this all the time so to them it's just another day and they truly don't care as long as its not caused by them. With that being said 100% 2 door production has stopped.

Got my VIN today from Travis, at Tri City Jeep in Eden, NC after just 2 days from order being placed. Potential NC and VA buyers should definitely give them a shout! No hassle, competitive pricing below invoice, honors Tread Lightly discount, and low DOC fee of $349. Dwayne, Steve, Travis and Leon have all been great!
Hey that's where I bought mine, from Travis. Ordered Wednesday, check with Jeep Chat Friday and they had my VIN.

When I got angry the other day and said "fuck me" I wasn't talking to you FCA.

I did and the $595 plus tax has been added but jeepchat states that they don't see anti-slip added to my order.
Get your dealership to email you a PDF copy of your Priced Order Confirmation (POC). Your salesperson may have to get it from their new car sales manager. It’s a printout from FCA’s order system and will show the exact configuration and MSRP of your build as registered with the manufacturer.

Just a thought ... this is the third factory order I've done. The other two before this were also for 2-door Rubicons at the beginning of model years. In both cases there was a considerable wait time but the reward was well worth it and the quality of the vehicles outstanding. I got incredible value on the trade in of both. The big difference is that I was not connected to trackers, forums etc and I think that the constant attention to them actually amps up the anxiety that so many here seem to have. You have this 'instant reward' attitude built up by the constant engagement on the latest 'news'. Your Jeep will come, it will be great, it will be unique and guess what - with vehicles like this it takes time. If you don't like that ... well you likely belong in a Ford or something like regular people. Final thought; beating up the folks who answer the phone or chats and are there doing their best to pass on info to you is frankly acting like an ASS.

The problem isn't the beginning of a model year. I ordered a 2003 Rubicon, the first year of production and had it in 4 - 6 weeks. The problem in part is the re design of the Wrangler itself and part due to incompetence be it in Jeep or their suppliers. Regardless Jeep needs to issue a statement all dealers to relay to all who have an order in!

100% agree, except for the bit about Ford. (Never understood why people root for auto makers like they’re sports teams.) Ford has some great vehicles in their lineup, just like FCA and GM.

1000% agree on being an ASS. Some of the correspondence posted here makes me wince.

No I beg to differ. Jeep doesn't need to do that. They can choose to or not. They are the iconic brand. They really don't need to. They will sell every jl they can make
