I didn't believe it when my dealer first told me, but after 5+ checks on Jeep Chat, all of which told me I'm D-1...leads me to believe my Jeep's being built in the next few days

Ordered my Sport S 2-door on Dec 22. (Deposit made 12/02) Now in KZ status.
Your build sheet is not showing yet, was your KZ status from a reliable source (like the dealer)?

As we’ve read in the past D1 means squat; they can easily send you back to D.

What the heck does that response mean? Doesn’t KZ mean it’s built? I suppose it could be built and placed in cold storage on the biggest parking lot in the world.

For what it’s worth, after being in D status since early February up to last night, I checked with Jeep Chat this afternoon and am supposedly in D1 now. I know, I know, Jeep chat is all over the place, but maybe things are finally moving in the right direction. JLR with steel bumpers, led, leather, infotainment, towing, cold weather, premium soft top, v6. We should see in the next few days if it’s starting to happen or just more of the same.

The fact that it has reached KZ, if it’s accurate info, at the minimum means it was built. This would suggest 2 door production has begun.

It would be nice if this person had a reputable source; then again I haven’t seen much of any reputation being all that great concerning anything to do with the Jeep 2 door.

You don't understand at all. Every JL built must at some point reach KZ status, meaning it has been released by the factory and is invoiced. In no way does KZ status stand for "something is wrong." There are numerous KZ subcodes that mark various stages of the subsequent delivery process such as loading and unloading. A few do involve quality issues but it is extremely rare for a new vehicle to fall into one of those.

"Few days" is a relative term...I've been D1 since 3/20.
