FCA has about 2500 dealerships in USA, plus tons of foreign - i wonder if they’re doing a batch run of showroom 2-doors to iron out kinks, meaning not drivable versions for display, view, and ordering clarifications

i find that about as believable as a dog with glasses. they have a monetary interest in producing as many saleable jeeps as they can muster....

They make life size facsimile models for display? That's a new one on me. Why waste the time and money and not get any info to see if they built it 100% correctly, fire it up and maybe sell it to me or you if all is well?

i’m talking about dealerships where they place cars in interior showrooms to demo features to customers and facilitate purchase of options. typically any are for sale, though are kept for decent cycles

Careful review of that spreadsheet shows that I am the **only** 2 door (that is being tracked) in D1 status or better...

Is that right?!

D1 is where they re-bubble weld the frame to try to get the hard top to fit on again.

Then they see it doesn't fit, so they throw you back in D status, and keep building 4-doors.

Just spoke with my FCA Executive connection and 2 doors have not started production and they still don't plan to start until 4/9 at the earliest.

funny, my buddies' old YJ, one of the last produced in Brampton, Ontario, didn't have either of those ridiculous problems

I would hope it would not have any problems if it was one of the last ones to be produced. They would have fixed any problems by then.
