I did not, thanks TJ!Just thought I'd offer this little tidbit for those who use their phone a lot on this thread: If you rotate your phone to the horizontal position, you should be able to see folks' signatures and avatar info. Keeping it in the vertical position makes the screen too narrow for that information to be seen.
Many of you have probably already figured that out, but just in case some haven't.... there you go.
Oh, and you'll need to make sure your phone is in "auto rotate" mode for it to work. Most phones are in that mode by default.
Absolutely amazing! We drove around the whole island, hiked, and enjoyed the magic. Land is mostly pristine, people are great, weather super. But this is by far the most expensive place we have ever visited! Saw 2-3 wranglers, but actually the androver Defender seems to be more popular.
That’s right! For TJ it’s always the right place and the right time!If you are in the right place at the right time, this is what you (PhotoGuy) can do with the windshield down!! The rest of us not like that. Awesome shot!
I must get there.Absolutely amazing! We drove around the whole island, hiked, and enjoyed the magic. Land is mostly pristine, people are great, weather super. I like your idea! The bag from the factory is not very user friendly, took us about 10 min (at the dealer) to figure how it goes. I think I like your solution better.Freedom Panel - Custom padded carrying / holding envelope...
For those with 2 d. JL's that have your rear seats removed, I have to tell you about my custom padded Freedom Panel holders.
Yes, I know Jeep gives you that clunky Freedom Panel Bag, but I wanted a little something to protect that isn't so clunky, looking.. I wanted something that would blend into the back of the JL also.
In the Summer, I spend a lot of time driving my Wrangler with just the driver's side Freedom Panel off. I'm by myself, so just the one panel off suits me, and that one panel can be put back on in a second should it start to rain.
So, I lay the Freedom panel in the back of JL since I have the rear seat removed. I lay black side facing up. I then place a bunchie cord over the Freedom Panel from one rear, metal seat floor grab to the the other on the other side. This secures the Freedom Panel so it does not move around and so it cannot become a projectile in the event of an accident, etc..
ANYWAY... I wanted something, a padded pocket of sorts, to protect my Freedom Panel.. A padded pocket, that I could quickly, slip the panel in and out of, that was quite protective, light weight, soft and that was easy to deal with. I wanted this padded pocket to match the interior rug and interior plastic in the back so it would blend it decently and not look like friggin cargo back there.
I also wanted this protective pocket to lay flat in the back when not in use as a pocket for the Freedom Panel. I would also use it when no Freedom Panel was in it, to protect the rug, to protect and pad, if I was moving anything with the Wrangler. They had to look decent, also..
SO, I went to Harbor Freight and purchased, two, 40" x 72" black, moving blankets. They are padded blankets and very light weight. Thick enough to protect but also thin enough that the neighbor lady could tackle them with her home sewing machine.
These padded pockets are also thin enough to let sound flow through when they lie on my Alpine speaker, that resides in the rear floor cubby or my 2 dr.
Long story short, I folded each moving blanket length wise and had the neighbor lady sew up, both sides of each moving blanket. She actually double sewed each side. Took her about 15 minutes or less to do this. After she was done, I had two light weight black, padded envelopes to use with my 2 Freedom Panels.
Sure, I probably will use the Jeep panel bag if I have both panels off but for my day to day with one panel off the padded pocket is great!
Price of the 40" x 72" black, light weight, pad at Harbor Freight is $4.99 each.
My light weight pads / pockets have a medium grey lining.. They look great and will do the intended job well well for me...

Can you send pics of this headliner, please?Done and done.
It does make the interior look more finished. Will see how well it helps noise and heat/cold as time goes on.
Time for more work on the garden boxes. Hope everyone is doing well. ./wave
