So, anyway, long story sort of short, please don’t fall of chair laughing, remember my Jeep is 7 days old and so am I as a driver.
This afternoon we had about 6 inches of rain in less than an hour. Couldn’t see a thing, but put it in 4H and took off. HAD to try puddles. Not deep enough,so took side roads. Well, had to go through water 1/2 way up wheels, and was terrified I will stall in front of all those sedans! When I got by my street, water seemed so deep, again I hid and waited 10 minutes(also embarrassing). Then I finally drove to my house. Like driving through air! Now I know and I’ll look for deeper puddles next flash flood!

So did they fix your Jeep, and what was wrong?
Yup! All fixed up. There was a short to ground that was traced back to the vacuum pump. This caused fuses to pop, and the vacuum pump had to be replaced. Apparently there is a STAR case on this issue already. Crazy how that threw errors on the ESS and stability, but with how the electricals are with cars these days not surprising.

I ordered a hardtop and had my dealer order a soft top separately directly from Quadratec and rolled it up into my monthly payments.
How much did it cost you for the soft top?

Well i got my rear bumper installed . It was jcr offroads crusader mid width bumper. I love Jcr's stuff , and their front bumper went on smooth as silk, but their specs were off about 1/4 inch on the rear bumper. The support brackets were 1/4 inch to close together. Now that might not sound like a lot , but trust 3/16 rolled steel doesnt like to give . So was hammering and using a 20 pound mallet, along with my hi lift jack to get the bumper into place. I finally got it on but not with out some casualties. looks like i'll be ordering some touch up paint.

We've been trying to order a 2 dr Sahara since last Oct (8 mo). Filled out the order and made a downpayment. But dealer keeps telling us they can't submit it. Manufacturer won't allow/accept the order. Seems to be stringing us along. Can anyone confirm whether 2 dr is or is not available?

AS far As i know 2dr saharas are not available for 2018, and i think this is the last week you can order any 2018 wrangler.

2 door Sahara's were not an option for 2018 models. Also the 2018 ordering closed yesterday.

Glad you got them your jeep. I ordered from them June 5 before my jeep came in. (knew I didn't want to be on leather this time of year) They weren't aware of the difference in seats at that time as they didn't have one to check out. So, I sent mine back a day or so after mine came in and I guess I'm waiting on them to get things right using yours and then they'll be ready to ship mine. The covers I received were for a 4 door and were really good quality. From all I've read, this is hands down the best seat cover for a jeep.

Thanks for helping us and them out. Please let us know what you think when you get it. thumbs up for your trail ride. My JL rubicon is pretty similar to yours.
When i dropped the Jeep off he said he thought it would be a day or so because he would just alter the 4 doors covers, then he later told us that wow, there are a lot more than just the latch that was different so he had the truck all week. When i picked it up today, the girl told me he had been putting a lot of time and effort to get these right and done. I was really surprised, they were way better than anticipated! Ill post up some pics or a vid. They look frigging awesome!

I cancelled my classic slider order to upgrade to the crusader slider with the intention of going with this bumper later on, hope you let them know so they can make adjustments. I scratched enough paint on the Rubicon trail lol

New Bartact front seat covers are on, they are working on the back seat cover now. Really excellent looking cover.

Did you ever do anything on this? The seat belt flutter does need a clip or something to stabilize it in the wind. Or maybe just a soft pad like velcro on the frame so it dampens and doesn't flap against the frame?
Well, I found out that the front seat belts' height can be adjusted at the frame, so I just reached back, pinched the little clip and lowered the the belt as low as it would go. That did help, but I'll still get the flutter for a few seconds every now and then.
I need to try the Velcro trick. My back seat belts have never flapped.

First time post, been following for a while. Running out of room on my calendar. Ordered March 9th 2dr 2.0 Sting Gray, Soft Top. Switched to 3.6L June 29! Looks like that did the trick. Heard my Unicorn is on a train towards Florida. While this has been exhausting, I have appreciated being able to see everyone one else sticking it out!!

Looking forward to posting pics, will be till October to really enjoy going topless comfortably, but guess that’s what sunscreen and A/C are for!!

Thanks for helping me hang in there. Should not be long.

Which dealer did you order from? Got mine from Greenway. I was their first JL 2 door.

Been having fun around town with my new baby. This top is amazing! I did notice on the driver side one of the bows seems to have knocked a bit of paint off the ... hinge? The part that has the locks.
