We're regret to learn of your frustrations, N75. There are many factors that are involved in the build process, and apologize that it may be moving slower that you expected. We can look into your order further. Just send us a PM if you have not already.

All these "specialists" love to look "further" into orders, yet still continue to give us the circle round and round with neutral responses.

This is truly a shame what Jeep is pulling with this.

They are not the problem. Getting mad at or expecting real explanations from them is unrealistic. You need to get ahold of people higher up in the food chain. Get an exec who makes real money and has some influence. Yell at him or her.

Not to burst your bubble but I was told they were waiting for parts a long time ago. It took more than 30 days but the parts finally came in week ago and the build still has not started. The support team in the chat has very limited information.
Maybe the silver lining of all these delays is that when production finally starts in early April, Jeep will have all the parts they need for all configurations of the 2 door and we won't face any further delays. (He said with his fingers crossed, having ordered a soft top 2dr with a manual trans and LED package).

Yes, all these delays are really costing me...

My financing pre-approval expired. Most likely, renewing it will show as another hard pull on my credit. The Interest rates are probably going up, and My Golden ticket expired. Then the recent increase in MSRP and Delivery.
These delays have cost me at least $1,200. :(

If you had a sold order in, the MSRP and Delivery cost increase shouldn't impact you, at least I hope not. I negotiated a price 5% below invoice, and put a deposit down on 2/7. There's no way I'm paying more than what was negotiated. As part of my deal, we agreed on a trade in price projecting that it wouldn't be coming in until sometime between April to June. As part of the negotiations we discussed that if it takes longer it is to my benefit for the trade, and if it comes sooner, it is to the dealers benefit. I'm a little worried they are going to try to back out on the deal we agreed to. The trade in price we agreed to (which was the sticking point of the deal - I was walking out the door and the manager came up an additional $2,000 on the trade) will be at the high end of the trade in value range come June.

At this point when we get our Jeeps they will be a year old in a matter of months!
By that logic my 2007 is a 2006 because I got it in November ‘06. But it was actually manufactured even earlier.

Jeep has really dropped the ball on the 2 door. The classic. It's a damned shame.

I'm not placing a 2 door order until I see one on a lot. That'll be a while.

2 doors better not be MY2019 only. I don't want BSG or another MSRP increase. Jeep's attitude seems like they just wanna cancel the 2 door.

If a fairly large automotive journalist did a story on the delays and msrp and destination increases, I bet jeep would get their shit in gear a bit better.

I sent a response to @JeepCares per their request with all my details. Hopeful to receive a prompt response.

Very undecided on keeping my order. I was waiting to wake up excited again (I don't think I've been this excited over a purchase since I was a kid) but it's just kinda not there. I settled on some things because I really wanted a Jeep for the spring/summer, and I truly appreciate the JL and was willing to push my timeframe... but starting production (estimated!) weeks before I expected to take delivery doesn't bode well for enjoying 50% of the nice weather in Update NY this year.

Will keep or cancel my order based on what they tell me!

You raise a good point about Jeep not even starting production until after many of us expected to take delivery...

Let us know how that goes! I would expect something like this “....due to production delays ( of which we will not tell you what they are ) production is slowed ( we can’t give you a delivery date because nobody knows ) we are so very sorry for the inconvenience ( but we really don’t care about our 2 dr buyers )....we’ve been told production will start soon ( by a group of execs and engineers who will not take blame for messing up the Toledo schedule, but they all are driving their new 2 drs already )... thanks for being a loyal Jeep customer...

And I don’t even work for “Jeep cares”

How would canceling your order help you enjoy a Jeep this summer? Are you really going to base your decision on information given by a "specialist" whose job it is to identify quality issues that are trending on forums? (FWIW, if Jeep Cares is set up like Ford's identical program, it's likely they're not even employed by FCA.)

I get that everyone is disappointed by the delay; I certainly am. No way I'm canceling, though. I don't see how that would help. I don't want a 4-door, and I don't want to pay more for a 2019 which will probably also be delayed. (They're changing the recipe by adding BSG. You really think they'll start rolling out 2-doors at the same time as 4-doors in October? Nope!)

Good things come to those who wait...

as i visit dealer websites, i see a staggering volume of JK and JKU vehicles sitting around.

the delay feels entirely false, and i suspect that FCA is trying to help the dealers get the market to absorb their JK/JKU inventory before unleashing JL in volume - particularly because 2 door sales are so sluggish, and now made worse by JL “waiters” who will pass on JK deals

I'm wondering if they are waiting to stop JK production, before starting 2 Door JL production.
