So I called 866# to check on the status of my unicorn (JLR w/ PST) and got the same story, “you’re in D status, yada yada...delays ...blah blah blah.” So tell me Jeep, does D status mean ‘Dicked’ around, because that’s exactly what is going on here! Friday is June! There better be some amazing discounts coming my way!
((Smack)) Wow!! Yep, I needed to rant!! I was seeing red for a minute and apparently not thinking clearly!

Hang in there, the worst is behind you. You could really be in D1 by now. They don't always give you real time information. When you are sitting in your new Jeep ( and I hope soon) all the BS from this ordeal will be not even a memory! You will love the new JL!

Just left there a few ago. Manager said he had no problem cancelling the order but had to be done tomorrow when the sales manager and sales person that made the deal are in. He said once I talked to them and don't want it anymore I can cancel with no problems because he can easily sell that car if they wanted to keep it. So I'm going back tomorrow to cancel. Meanwhile I came to the greenway dealership and I'm working with someone now. Now I have comparables to share

That’s good news!

Don’t accept any deal that isn’t at least 1% below invoice b/c you can get that deal easily via affiliate pricing ($100 donation to Tread Lightly if your employer isn’t an affiliate).

Don’t accept crazy “dealer service” fees or other silly charges; e.g. Nitrogen filled tires (air we breath is like 78% nitrogen), door jam guards, yada, yada.

I’d also pass on any protection packages offered...

Last time I called I talked to a guy named Roger, he told me he couldn't even FIND my jeep. He saw my case number but there was no longer a VIN associated with it. I almost lost it, but he was like oh wait I found it. Scared the crap out of me.

crazy, especially considering how hot these are, they will be sold. i thought i was getting ripped by dropping 1k. but 5k? i'd have said no

HELL I only put down 500.00 . one dealer did want a 3k deposit , wasnt going to go with them anyway cause they didnt offer the best deal, but even if they had , i wasnt putting down 3k

@Deputylo I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but if you are at all financing, shop around for an auto loan rate. Most times you can do better than the dealer with a local credit union.

I had good luck with 866.362.2146. But twice I was told my Jeep was built, twice they were wrong. 95 % of the time very pleasant. 5% they were probably not enjoying their job, Best of luck to you!

Or is it another line? He told me the average time in D status is 30 days. I'm on 83 days and I know there are people that have been in it longer. There shouldn't be any excuses why they're not banging out these Jeeps by now!

Yes pick up the pace. Escalate well I was escalated 4 times. As we told others hang
on it's going to be a bitch waiting. I do not believe it will be as bad for you as us
that ordered early. Your frustrations and emotions will try to upset you. They will
but stay calm as you can, and bitch to all of us !! (not your wife or dealer)
