Agree 100% on the MT, I enjoy getting good mileage out of my manual JK. Your profile states nothing about a 4 door and says you have a 2 door "ordered," is that dash shot from a 2 door or 4 door? Basically did you get your 2 door already!?!?
This.

Why I love a manual transmission! Aside from the feeling of, and actually having control, if you want fuel economy you can drive sensibly and achieve it! And the engine is nowhere broken in yet. And I

was not going down hill!
what gear are you in at that RPM?

these things are geared tallllll. too tall for me. when I test drove the manual Rubicon with 4.10's I felt that those were tall, and should've been the base gears.

I suppose it makes that 25mpg rating possible though. 4th gear highway downshifts here I come!

Surprised we haven't had a second delivery yet.

The wait rages on. Excited to check out a 2 door once my local dealership gets one. Hopefully that'll be soon.

To pass the time, how many of you would get a Sahara if it was still offered?
Me! actually intended on a Sahara and then just put a 2" lift to beef it up a little. But, when they released the info on 2 doors, a Rubicon it was...

The sales manager from my dealership just called. He said that I probably won't see my Jeep until August.
He said that if I switched to the turbo it may come in sooner but no guarantees.
Ummm, that does not sound right at all. They are not even producing turbos yet. You may want to do a little more research. No on this forum has ever been told that.

It will enter the shipping process on the 2nd would be the accurate way to look at it
Not really. I'm fairly certain that "ship date" refers to the date that a vehicle is shipped out the factory door and that's not the date the transport process begins. The next step is inspection, or "I" status and if you fail that, you go in line for repairs that can take anywhere from days to weeks. After "I" comes "JB" status if you've ordered headliners. Your vehicle is sent to a third party for installation that can again take days to weeks. If you pass inspection and are not required to go into JB status, you can go into "JS" which is storage at the factory.

Only after all of that does your vehicle go to "KZ" status where it is handed off to another third party that has the contract with FCA for transit. Time from build to "KZ" can be as little as a day, but many on this forum have waited over a month for the shipping process to begin.

Go back a bunch of pages. It was discussed at length that the Turbos may be built first.

I have a turbo from Feb 10th that is still in D, so I don't think that's accurate.
Yeah, I know. Nothing we are being told from dealers or FCA has been accurate. I was just sharing the latest BS that I was told. Thats all....;)

For further confusion, I have a turbo that just went to D1 today.
