Very glad to hear you like it, because I received a phone call today letting me know I could stop by to pick up my Twill Trektop tomorrow! I have to install my hardtop hoist on Saturday, and hopefully the new top will be going on Sunday!

The rear window zips in? I thought I had read they replaced the zippers with Velcro (maybe just some of them?)… Any part of the install that was particularly head-scratching or difficult?
Install was fine, if a bit tedious with all the bits. Just take your time and don't use a damn impact to speed things up. I snapped a bolt and now I need to figure out how to get a replacement bolt and tap the busted one out. Grrr...

Not really difficult. The zippers go on a lot easier if you don't clamp the sides in place first. Just start the zippers after securing the window behind the door frame but leave the back loose so you can maneuver the zippers into place. LOTS easier. lol

I think it looks great. Now I will be using the moving blankets when I pull the windows and then I have to figure out what to do with the carpets. The Alpine system came with a pesky sub that cries out for attention. bla...

So the first thing I read:

http://www.evomfg.com/technical-docs/EVO-3039B.pdf

"1” or larger front bumpstop extensions are recommended to be installed with this skid plate system."

I loose even more travel? What? Why?
You read? I missed that, not sure i even received anything with writing on it lol interesting tid bit. We encountered no obstacles to test that this weekend.

Hey John,

Did you end up cutting away a part of your fuel tank skid to mount this? Looks like it from this pic.
I made no cuts, ill look at it, just got home.

It kinda just fit? I installed it completely hand tight then went back thru and tightened it all down afterwards. Hope you got it by now.

No luck for me. I did try to wiggle it this way and that but to bring the front high enough to secure the front mounts it will need a good half inch into the tank skid to fit. At first I thought I had the wrong bolts... but there really isn't anywhere else for me to mount it. lol

Ah well. Will see what they say. I want this skid. I may actually need it. :movember:

I'm sure that would do it.

Tomorrow if they don't have another solution I'll do just that. Better than cutting. :fist bump:

Just starting the third leg of my trip to Jeep Beach. I left Sat am for Easter dinner in Jersey with the inlaws, left Jersey early this am, for Virginia and to put us (me and my JL) on the train for Daytona. Well I am on the train and will be in Daytona in the morning
Have a great trip! Hope to see some pictures!
