Install was fine, if a bit tedious with all the bits. Just take your time and don't use a damn impact to speed things up. I snapped a bolt and now I need to figure out how to get a replacement bolt and tap the busted one out. Grrr...Very glad to hear you like it, because I received a phone call today letting me know I could stop by to pick up my Twill Trektop tomorrow! I have to install my hardtop hoist on Saturday, and hopefully the new top will be going on Sunday!
The rear window zips in? I thought I had read they replaced the zippers with Velcro (maybe just some of them?)… Any part of the install that was particularly head-scratching or difficult?
Not really difficult. The zippers go on a lot easier if you don't clamp the sides in place first. Just start the zippers after securing the window behind the door frame but leave the back loose so you can maneuver the zippers into place. LOTS easier. lol
I think it looks great. Now I will be using the moving blankets when I pull the windows and then I have to figure out what to do with the carpets. The Alpine system came with a pesky sub that cries out for attention. bla...
