As you know the Achilles heel of this engine is the small seal that connects the sump to the bottom of the crank case. I have preemptively changed mine with a JTD upgraded part. Im interested to know everyone’s oil pressure under maximum acceleration. Mine seems to top out at 60 psi. It seems to not go a single psi over 60. I would be interested to know other peoples figures.

Mine never gets over 3.2 Bar (46psi). 60 psi seems a bit high? It is my second 2.2 and both never got over 3,5 bar. Never had issues with the seal. I have over 100 000 kms on it now.

Low oil pressure seems to cause more issues on this engine than too high. The Stelvio 2.2 runs closer to 80psi when on full throttle. I’ve had the JTD seal mod which should help. My local dealership said between 3.3- 5 bar for full revs.

Nice info! Do you have a link to the part? And how complicated is the install?

Was just looking for this same part for my Jeep when I stumbled upon this topic... Getting it as well even though no signs of oil pressure issues. Wondering if we can apply it to our sumps...? I guess so....? 97kkms and going.

Now that I've made this modification this post, the minimum pressure is 1.8 bar when the engine is warm. When cold, it's 2.1/2.2 bar, and when accelerating, I can easily reach 4 bar.

Hmmm. Mine is 15-16psi, which I belive is just around 1-1.1 bar. Hope the pump isn't getting bad. Just changed the seal in the sump, but didn't make a difference. Had one incident of low pressure warning earlier this summer, but don't know how low it was then.

Same here, when REALLY hot (south EU, PT-ES), ENG oil ~115 °C, it gets 1~1.2 at idle. I'm using Liqui Molly 4130 0w30. Getting the aluminium thinga majiga w/ the orings installed next week.
