I’ll replace the engine air filter tonight, and I hope that it’ll be just that. I did take out my old one and it was super dusty so maybe it’s just getting choked out? ??
Years ago, I had a similar rattling sound in another vehicle. In that instance, the exhaust manifold shield was loose, which I fixed. Just thought I'd mention it.

Best of luck here. ?

Any updates on this? Mine started sounding like this on cold starts about a month ago so I changed the plugs but it's no different.
When I start it, it will high idle like normal but when i put it in reverse for example, it sounds like the one in the video and the idle drops significantly down to around 900rpm making that rattling noise.
2020 unlimited 2.0 with 80,000kms.

So I did finally take it to the dealership, and left it there for a whole month. After the techs looked at it they finally called me back saying "oh thats just how jeeps sound" I disagreed and they said they'll put a brand new 2024 right next to it. Well, clearly the new 2024 didnt make that huge rattling sound. So they continued to hold my jeep and came to the conclusion that it is the turbo thats causing that sound. So I had my whole turbo replaced.

Problem is though its still making that same sound. Some days I notice it less, but other days I definitely still hear it... I'm waiting for winter to be over to send the jeep back and have them look again cause I can't go another month without the jeep.

unsavory

Unfortunately I did not. I still have the same rough idle. Now that my Jeep is out of the warranty I’m kind of at a loss of what to do.
