I’ve got 73,000 miles on my 2020 2.0 wrangler. Noticed the recommended mileage to change plugs was at 60,000. Anybody replaced their plugs yet? How much crap had to be removed to get to them? What brand plugs did you use?

If you do them snap some pics of the electrode. Curious if the get bad pitting.

I know the 3.5 ecoboost recommends high mileage change intervals but at 35k the are pitted to the point the gap is actually about double what it should be. Has me wanting to do mine with only 31k on them.

What’s the 2.0 plug torque spec? Thanks
The spec sheet is from NGK for this part number. The torque spec is at the bottom of the 2nd screen shot. The second screen shot is from over on the Alfa Giulia 2.0 forum, (different cyl head but same plug) an Alfa tech based in Italy. He says 168 in lbs/14 lb ft.

Anyone know of aftermarket plugs that are compatible with the 2.0? Finding OEM ones is quite difficult right now.

I just did the plugs on Sunday, NGK 90219 is the way as Heimkehr said. I torqued to 13ft lbs and didn't have any issues. Just be careful if you pull the battery cable from the negative terminal, I probably left it unplugged too long and created another headache with the AUX battery.

Reviving this super old thread... isn't 13 ft lbs is less than hand tight?

I do remember how easy the original plugs were to remove when replacing the same on the 2.0T in my JLU at 53K miles.

While their appearance was otherwise acceptable, I'd have guessed that the factory would've wanted them to be a bit more snug than I perceived them to be.

For many years now, and irrespective of the engine on which I'm working, I've used my Calibrated Torque Wrist™ when installing/reinstalling spark plugs. No issues to date.
