Ask for the window sticker. Or better yet, most dealers websites allow you to see the window sticker of their in stock vehicles.

In the end, just ask why they are charging a destination fee when the MSRP already includes it. As an FYI, my dealer sold me my Jeep for $42,020 plus $130 dealer fees, then I paid tax, title, etc..

River oaks In Houston. I have no idea if Texas has a law that caps the fees or not, but in reality a dealer has a small cost on overhead for pushing paperwork.

Second River Oaks Jeep. No games, no silly fees, everything out on the table to get every discount you qualify for, even in the finance office. Our last Jeep from there was cheaper monthly than even the quoted price we had the day before because they found a bank with an even lower rate in that period. Great people and I’ll be picking up my 2019 Ruby from there in December (ordering next month)

mind if telling which dealer or state you got it?

I just grabbed my paper work. Here is a break down of all the charges I paid. MSRP was $43850

Sales Price 40310
Trade - 33000
Inventory tax 89.49
Sales tax 456.88
Document fee 150
deputy fee 10
Application for Texas title 42.75
inspection sticker 23.75
License fee 128.50

My inventory tax and sales tax is a lot lower due to the value of my trade....basically it is only based off $7310. My true dealer fees were only $160. The rest of the fees go to the state.

What always gets me is the people who are getting charged these high dealer fees. I know you may not be able to avoid them, but damn...that is pure profit for them.

thats correct!!!
I have not bought from them but I have read of many who have. Other than their high processing fee, everything I've heard is that they are staight up and top notch. As a matter of fact, they were the first ones to officially offer 5% below invoice on this thread.

As long as you’re aware of the dealer doc fee, you just simply demand a deeper discount from the MSRP to offset the higher doc fee. It’s not complicated.

Always amazes me how much some dealers charge for their "fees". Mine was under $200 for dealer docs, notary, processing, etc.
Not supposed to charge for a notary in Texas. Just sayin'.
