I have the jeep (2018 Sahara JLU) at the shop trying to chase an electrical issue. I got a start stop error, although I removed the stop start and put in the dual battery from Genesis some years ago (and it was turned off). I thought the alternator was going, but they found approximate 1 volt loss between the alternator and the battery positive.

I then looked back at the fuse array and we found a lot of heat on the N7 post, I burned my finger a little and found melted plastic. Also, we didnt see quite as much voltage loss when probing around that post (approx .5 volt loss). I took a photo and found the connection wasn't seated as well as the others, probably my fault, it's hard to see in person.

They were about to replace the wiring harness, but my first thought is to replace the fuse array. I think this is the right part: Z Case Fuse Array - Mopar (68368854AA).

I have the tow package and the 3.6.

Could be the battery sensor on the negative battery post. I just had to replace mine. It was cousin lots of issues including stop start not working issue. Some times it was charging and some time not charging. So far every thing is working. No more issues.

Found out the alternator cable had worked its way loose where it connects into the fusebox (PDC). It was running all the current through the post, and didnt have a clean connection. No idea how that happened.
