Rival 4x4 stubby bumper

If you're looking at new bumpers I highly recommend rivals. I have installed rival4x4s stubby aluminum bumper and I can't say enough good things about them. Everything from quality to installation is top notch. Even the steel winch plate was easier to install than warns for the steel stock bumper. It's a bonus that it's aluminum to help she weight while maintaining enough reinforcement with the steel winch plate. Pics below and trust me it looks even better in person!!

You can purchase it at tankcustoms.com @TTEChris one of the owners from tank customs is a member in here. It weighs a little under a 100 lbs with the steel winch plate. Three do have light mounting holes on top.

How about thickness of the bumper. Is it 1/4 inch aluminum? I cant find any specs. Really interested. I was waiting for the AEV bumper but it seems like it is never going to come out. Do you know if they are going to incorporate a tire carrier with their rear bumper?

It is 1/4 for both the skid plate and the bumper. I'm not sure about the tire carrier but I would live it if they do. This bumper looks even better in person!

I just ordered a rival full length bumper, should be here next week. I currently have the plastic group bumper. Is that an issue when mounting up the rival bumper. I watched a few videos and noticed some of the mounting points are slightly different.

It looks like the 8 bolts to the frame are the same. But the bracket where winch plate for the steel bumpers is slightly different.

@Jasonangel have you mounted any that had the factory plastic bumpers?

Great thanks. I actually just got a reply from rival as well and they said it would be the same for the mounting points the bumper uses.

it will be here Wednesday, as soon as I get it on I will post some pics

Does anyone have the weight of the full length bumper?
Also, any thoughts on the position of the winch plate and the winch mounting bracket? My winch has a steel cable and roller fairlead.

I was just posting as requested. Not sure on the exact weight but the shipping weight was 116lbs. I’m sure it is much less than this as there was left over hardware included for different mounting options.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate you posting the pics! Mentioned that about the stubby 'cause this is the only thread I've seen for Rival and the bumper looks fantastic. I was about to go for the Quadratec aluminum bumper and just saw this.. The finish and the fit look great!

I am more than pleased with it. It has all kinds of light mounting options. I was skeptical about the silver skid plate from the pictures I had found. But after getting it the silver looks awesome, not to mention it is a very close silver to the accents on the jeep already. If you want any additional pics or questions send me a DM.
