Hi, I had 31inch KO2's put on my jeep and now the steering wheel is tilted to the left about a half inch. Would I need an alignment even though nothing changed with the suspension?
Thank You

No. You just need to recenter the wheel. You can easily DIY (5-10minutes) if you have a second person to help or take it to the shop that installed your tires and have them do it.

Why would replacing tires alter the steering wheel position?

Makes no sense.

What mean by half inch?

You may feel a tad bit more "dead zone" center steering but not much.(what's your psi at?)

Installing slightly bigger tires will not misalign your steering column.

Agreed that tire swapping would have zero affect on steering alignment. I would find out what the shop touched that uncentered the steering wheel. A simple adjustment of the drag link will recenter it, but that shouldn't be needed after switching tires.

sorry - to drive straight i am no longer holding it in the center. I am holding the wheel a little to the left to drive straight.

PSI is in the high 30's

called the shop and they said they are unsure and suggested an alignment.

On one road or have you driven on multiple different roads with same result?

The bigger tires and crowning of different roads may be playing head games with you.

If want, just have it checked out...claim it's a warranty issue - dealer should take it right in.

Maybe try messing with your air pressure?

Multiple roads. I try to avoid the dealer as much as possible. How hard is it to make the wheel straight again? Same concept as an old Jeep TJ?

I wouldn't take it to the dealer, or bother the shop that installed the tires--

Just drop the PSI to AT LEAST 34 PSI --drive and if the steering is still "OFF"--ON LEVEL ROAD ONLY--

As stated, just adjust the sleeve on the "DRAG LINK"--EASY PEASY !

Sounds like you have a little mud tire radial pull. Many aggressive mud tires will have a very slight pull to the right. If it is indeed pulling, swap the fronts left to right and see if there is a change.

Everyone here talking about "bigger tires". Did you install 33in KO2s? or is the 31in a typo? I didn't know you could get 31 KO2s. The stock tires are 31.5in.
