So i ordered my 2020 Rubicon from Patrick Mantua at Criswell in MD, smoothest and quickest process ever. No BS, straight up guy 8% under inv with tread lightly. Ordered it on 9/24. showed up at the dealership on 10/16 (talk about QUICK!) and picked it up over the weekend. So far i love it! The 200 mile drive home from Criswell was awesome, i do get what folks talk about with the wandering steering wheel, it's not that bad just very slight for me so hopefully that stays the case.

But i am so happy to join the Jeep life! Always wanted one.

Just a big shout out to Pat at Criswell, if you guys need a Jeep i don't think anyone can beat his deal and service. He also took his time at delivery to show me everything, took me on a test drive as well.. just overall a great experience. The finance person Thong was a stand up guy too, very nice to deal with. He did sell me an extended warranty that i now realize i don't really need since i am going to heavily mod the car. What are you guys thoughts on extended warranties? It is third party with $100 deductible 6 years 75K miles. I have 20 days to cancel so i emailed him hopefully that gets taken care of. I'm also on the fence about the tire/wheel warranty. Not sure if they will cover up to 37" when i decide to go that route.

All in all a great experience and loving the car so far!

Same question I just asked in my thread - also have just picked up a Rubi in Pine Belt in NJ.
I went for it given my history with the current Jeep GC, but am waiting for answers. There is 60 days byer remorse periode.

No offense to the guys at Criswell but I'd never buy a 3rd party extended warranty. Even worse to buy one at dealership A but then get it serviced at dealership B. (because arguably while they are mostly terrible, at least if dealer A sells and services, the service dept should be used to dealing with that particular plan)

While there are doubtless some folks who have had good experience with them, there are infinite horror stories, usually just denials of claims but also including a couple of big companies that went out of business, stranding all their customers entirely.

I've had good experiences over the years with the mopar extended warranties, and while I'm an FCA fan I do my best not to own one that isn't covered under warranty. Just the trip interruption protection and first day rental allowance make it worthwhile. I think the 8 year/80k max care plan on a wrangler is $1400ish. While it isn't perfect at least it is a known quantity.

The only repair I can remember them refusing over my last 4 vehicles was that they refused to replace the autodimming mirror glass on a mirror that had failed. I didn't press the issue, but I imagine if I had worked it up the food chain I could have.

I just bought a JLU Rubicon from Criswell Jeep yesterday and bought a Mopar 8yr/100k mile warranty from them for a hair cheaper than the two major online players were offering. I was not even offered a 3rd party warranty. They did offer dentless paint repair, key replacement, and other similar packages, but they were not pushy at all. I've bought a lot of cars and my Criswell experience was one of my best.

where did you get the mopar warranty? I’m still waiting to hear back from their finance guy to cancel that warranty hopefully soon.

but no doubt the sales process one of the best I’ve experienced. Highly recommended.

I got the warranty from Criswell's finance department. We had discussed it over the phone and they quoted me a price just under what I'd found online. It is the Mopar warranty with $100 deductible. I had a Mopar warranty on a Mercedes E55 I had several years ago and they were fantastic to deal with.

That I do not know. I do know they will cover the 2" Mopar lift if it is dealer installed.

What was The sticker price vs. invoice? You mentioned 8% below invoice. Just curious the options. The more options, the better discount.
Thanks, Rubiwho

Criswell is fast. Ordered mine 9/30 and it got there 10/16. It's just waiting for me to fly in and bring it home! Oh and I will never buy an aftermarket extended warranty again. Absolute nightmare getting service anywhere but the purchasing dealer.

Yeah working with the finance manager to cancel all the warranties now. Hopefully they actually do it.
